Ladies, it's that time again! Update us on how you're doing for the New Skin Challenge :) It's the end of Week Five...how are you doing?
I'm annoyed. I said that I wanted both sides of my face to be consistent with one another. Be careful what you wish for...I broke out on both sides :ohwell: My forehead is still doing pretty well, but I just really want my cheeks and chin to clear up. I mixed up a skin concoction yesterday, so I'll try that out for the week and see how it does. I posted update pics as usual on Fotki. Hope y'all are doing better than I am!
Hugs,
Crys

Hey I hope you clear up with that new mixture. Let us know how it works.
For myself, I'm still skipping some of my nightly cleansings but everything else is good.

This wasn't a good week and it wasn't a bad week. It's the first that I've actually been more consistant then not so that's a good thing. I only had one blemish - and of course I couldn't leave it alone and it's a scar now. But I've been putting vitamin e oil on it to speed up the healing so I can put some mederma on the spot itself. I've also switched to using the smooth side of my olay daily facials. I'm already using a chemical exfoliator, and didn't need a manual one EVERY night.

Awww, sorry to hear about that! I'm sure it will be better next week ;)
I'm doing okay. Not a single bump on my skin thank god.
I went to several chemists, but they don't seem to sell Mederma in France, which is surprising.I don't know what else I can use to fade past scars :ohwell:
I added a new soap to my regime. It's "savons dermatologiques visages et corps" from "diadermine". http://www.beaute-test.com/prod/img4217.jpg
It's very cheap, smells good and I like what it does to my skin so far (they've added almond & advocado oil in it)
After using dove for many months (with good results) I felt my skin was getting used to it, and I wanted to try something different. :)

Hey Crys, I am sorry that this happened. Hopefully your concotion will help.
I can say that my face is doing pretty well too. I noticed yesterday that some of my scars are disappearing and my breakouts are becoming fewer. I think if I remain consistent, I should be good.

Well............Ive been using Neutrogena advanced solutions system. I got excellent results in the beginning- it cleared the breakouts. But it completely dried my face out and there are tiny tears in my skin- it almost looks like my skin had been burned. Ive stopped using it- I now just wash my face with a cucumber gel cleanser, I will continue to use their day lotion though. At night after I wash my face I apply Palmers vitamin e scar serum, it is actually an oil. I like this because it adds moisture and suppleness to my skin. My skin is normal to oily with a dry surface. I am not classified as acne skin, but I am prone to breakouts.

Thanks for all the well-wishes, ladies :D I'm hoping that I'll see some improvement this week. I have to admit, that I wasn't good with my skin care this past week. I missed a couple of washings (getting in too late and being lazy, lol), and I haven't been steaming like I should. I also have been slacking in drinking my Cerasee and water on a daily basis. This week, I'm going to definitely get back into things. I've been inspired and I have good reason to get my skin in shape. Graduation is coming up rather quickly, and I'm determined to have clear skin  I'm glad that everyone is doing well...keep up the great work!
Hugs,
Crys

I am doing okay. I have a couple of pimples but they will go away soon, I hope.
I had a setback... I decided to add Himani gold to my regime and 2 days later my face exploded :( It's not that bad, but my face was clearing up before. I assume the Himani caused my breakout, so I'm gonna simplify my regime and hopefully start clearing up again.

I've been doing a great job at staying consistent with my regimine, but I'm currently experiencing a "TOTM" breakout. This is the first bad breakout that I've had in a looooonnnngg time, so I was totally shocked to wake up and find pimples smack dab in the center of my forehead.:( I'm thinking of purchasing Mario Badescu drying cream just to have on hand in case of another "TOTM" breakout.
ETA: I am also on the hunt for a new, light daytime moisturizer. I love using the Burt's Bees moisturizer because it's all natural, but it's a tad too heavy for daytime use. I'll continue to apply it at night.

So far, my skin is recovering. I had some mild zits but they are slowly disappearing. Started drinking more water and eating more veggies such as alfalfa sprouts and spinach to detox my body. Currently thinking of adding barley juice into my diet.
my skin is finally starting to clear up and these blemishes are slowly disappearing. I've been using these for oily and combination skin !

Sorry for everyone that has had a setback this week, I can be added to this list as well. The right side of my face had a breakout this week but I know it's my fault because I have been being lazy with my regimine, I can't even remember the last time I steamed or did a mask. I too have a goal, my cousin's wedding is at the end of this month and I want to be clear for that. :rosebud: This week is going to be a better week for us.

Mine is still going well. I got a teeny pimple though that I'm working on.
I'm weening myself away from the Triamcinolone(prescription). I got some Puritans Pride Retinol creme. It's not as moisturizing though, but I'm gonna work with it for awhile.
I'm off to drink my water. I try to drink 48 oz between 2:30 and 5 while I'm at work.
