if you look at some of my more recent pics you will see that i have lost a few of my extra chins. i had to edit out the stretchmarks on my gut yall dont need to know me that well. i will have to take some full body update pics

Very inspiring. How did you accomplish your weightloss goals?

Great job girlie, and yeah you aint wrong for posting the pics if it works..I have a couple of scary pics myself on my cellphone camera..I freak out if I think Ive lost my phone or any friends (esp. males) want to see my pics but its good to really look at yourself and take action.

thanks guys, ok let it be known that pink outfit is for sleeping and b4 pics only LOL
ok well i joined a gym in oct 2003 to go on a feb 2004 vacation. I made little to no progress except being able to do cardio longer. Basically my plan was to cardio the fat away that didnt work then i decided to lift weights that didnt work then i tried atkins that kinda worked i lost about 5lbs but what really worked was
-Not eating after 6.30
-going to kickboxing every monday even if i couldnt kick and bounce like everyone else
-alternation cardio and weight lifting in a circuit training fashion (will find and post regimine)
-I also stopped eating out of boredom
-increased water intake
-doing a modified Atkins every few weeks and then eating carbs instead of full blown atkins i get bored and i luvs me some wheat bread
-i lightly toast my wheat bread and then cut it in half to make sandwiches and limit myself to 1 slice a day
-i started to make my sandwiches and salads with fresh spinach instead of lettuce it tasted better and had more nutrients
-if you belong to a gym forget wasting your time on the treadmill get on the elliptical machine preferably one with the moving arms it burns 600 cal per hr vs 300 on the tmill
-do not be afraid to lift weights you will not turn into Vera from in living color LOL light weights high reps=tone heavy weights low reps=bulk find the happy medium for you
-become hyper active make everything an excersise i even made folding clothes fast while stepping side to side an exercise
***You dont have to belong to a gym to get results you can buy a jump rope from the .99 cent store and get you some tension bands and be good to go

Also if you go to a gym do not be afraid to Join a class or 3 & modify the workout to your fitness level. Last but not least end the pity party and excuse making. This was my biggest hurdle to overcome. I have pain issues and a herniated disc in my back but i had to teach myself to stop making excuses (i'm tired, i'm in pain, its raining, i dont ave time) i have managed to work out.

i have not worked out full steam i took about 2months off after memorial day and really havent gotten back into the swing of things. but i want to really get toned. I dont really care about my weight but more about my look and how my clothes fit that being said i probably wont be there unless i loose 10-15 more lbs

msportugal, I'm speechless!!!

You are awesome, look great and inspire me. Did I mention that you look awesome :)
I too, was planning on posting b4/after pics. I'm so close to reaching my goal and you just feel so much more on target now.

BTW @ Spanish...it's so cool that you speak portuguese; I LOVE to hear that language, because of all of the French, Spanish and Italian I hear in it.

You posted some great tips. One thing though ... burning calories on an elliptical versus a treadmill is pretty subjective. It depends on your weight, speed, incline, use of arms, etc. I know that I easily burn 600 or more calories after spending an hour on the treadmill, and I do a combination of running, jogging and speed walking, always at an incline, alternating between 4.0-5.5 rates of speed.

oh thanks options for posting that, because that is probably true. I never run on the treadmill because of the impact on my back, but i can do a running like motion on the elliptical with no problem

I updated the album with a bikini pic but its not a full shot i was sitting

it is actually when i was starting to get big b4 both of the other 2 pics but i am smaller than that now actually more toned too
