Anyone have positive or negative ordering experiences with them? Am I better off getting the catalogue, or should I order from the site, as far as choices are concerned?

not sure if you know this but speigel filed for chapter 11 (bankruptcy)... im a little weary about ordering from them. Before i knew they were bankrupt, i ordered a deep fryer using my speigel card... i was told it was processed and i had to wait like 7-10 days to receive it. low and behold, 3 weeks later i still didn't receive it. when i contacted them, i was told they 'cancelled' my card b/c i didn't use it often enuf. needless to say, i never ordered from them again.

Same here. This was years ago, though, but very smooth transaction.

I placed an order with them within the last 2 weeks and every thing went smoothly. I ordered a new comforter set from the website and received it within a week of placing the order.
