What exactly is the purpose of this? I want natural looking lashes and I hate the way blk. mascara clumps.

I'm not sure about for eyelashes...maybe to make them look glossy? I use it on my eyebrows to keep any stray hairs down...

I use clear mascara religiously. I have long, black eyelashes, but they sometimes lean to one side. The clear mascara helps to keep my eyelashes up, at attention, rather than leaning. It's like a hair gel for lashes. IMO

I've used clear mascara before as well. I used it because I was tired of having black stuff on my lashes and eyelids from black mascara. When I would go to wash off black mascara, I would have black stuff on my eyelids and have to keep wiping off my eyes. I like the clear mascara because it's not messy. It just doesn't achieve the length that black mascara will for your eyelashes. If you put too much, it can cause flakes after drying.

Where can you get clear mascara from and what brand?

Kia, you can get it any place that sells discount make up, like Wal-Mart, Rite Aid. There is also a clear "black" mascara, which is less messy as pooh mentioned.

Ok, I"m confused /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. When you say a "clear" black, how is it clear and black?

Ok, the clear (black) is a see-through gel that comes with a black tint. Instead of having the thick, opaque stuff, like regular masacara. It gives a little more definition than just plain, ole clear.

I always use clear mascara instead of black. My eyelashes are already very thick and curly so I just use the clear to kinda "straighten" them out. I also use if the keep my eyebrows neat all day.

It's also good for people who have allergies. Sometimes when the allergies kick in, I reach up and rub my eyes without even thinking about it. With the clear masacara, you don't have to worry about rubbing black stuff all over your face.
