Hi ladies...I'm considering trying a glycolic acid peel to get my acne under control, as well as glycolic acid based skin care products. In my effort to simplify my life, I'm trying to go back to and stick with products I know work for me. I recall using glycolic acid products at one time, and getting good consistent results. Unfortunately, I got turned away (Darn PJ-ism!) I was wondering what strength of glycolic acid peel everyone started out with, and how often you use it. Also, if anyone has had any experiences with the MD Formulations line of products, I would like to hear about it. TIA!

Hugs,
Crys

i was wondering about those MD products too. also is it true that glycolic acid is too harsh for our skin?

I've never had a Glycolic peel before, but I do use the 40% Lactic Acid Peel from www.makeupartistschoice.com. (http://www.makeupartistschoice.com.) It has really helped keep my skin smooth and old marks are really fading. I use it along with the Copper Peptide Serum.

I use a 30% glycolic peel every week and it is slowly clearing up my skin. I think I will go up to a higher percentage soon.

Thanks ladies...I went ahead and ordered a set of glycolic acid peels (30, 50, and 70%) off ebay. I figure that I'll start with the 30% and work my way up over time as I get tolerant if I need to. I also ordered the MD Formulations glycolic cleanser and SPF 30 lotion. Poohbear, if you like, I'll keep you updated on how they're working out for me /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Mochalolita,
Which ebay vendor did you order from?

All,
I have scars/hyperpigmentation from back and shoulder acne. The acne is finally under control but spots arent getting better. Anyhoo, I am still confused about which peel TCA, Lactic or Glycolic and what % is most effective for hyperpigmentation?

Hubutterfly,
I ordered from 2 different vendors. The glycolic acid set I bought from wizozkansas and the other MD formulations products I got from Debbie Ann. I gotta say that Debbie Ann is off the chain because I ordered the products around 3 this morning, and at 11 when I checked my email, she had already shipped it out to me, with a confirmation number and everything!
