You know what, they all do their thing and if I don't like it, I leave their channel or unsub. I have seen some really bad camera quality and hate that it takes away from what the youtuber is trying to convey.

But to como diva4's comment on the saleswomen, ITA. I will not buy anything because they endorse it. I know they get free products and I dont need anyone trying to shovel products down my throat.

Alot of ppl complain about a certain someone(s) who fit that description. Hard to watch.

I remember one makeup artist on YT said 'why should she try to plug a $200 flat iron when she's using a $14 gold n hot'...lol :lachen:

Yea the sales pitch stuff gets irritating. I feel like everytime I see Beautychoice.com pop up in a video its always a SALES PITCH...

Ur abs right, and that's what I do, lol. I do unsub alot of ppl and at times poor camera quality does take away from what could be an otherwise good video.

I realize this more so when it comes to hair. Especially about poor quality cams. It's like all of them have terrible cameras. I can't sit through makeup applications cause #1 no one is my skin color and #2 I get mad cause I can't do it and it never comes out that way.

There are some "gurus" that wear their makeup kind of clownish, but like some members have said, I just move on to someone else if I don't like it.

I wonder this all the time, but yeah I have no qualms about stopping the vid and moving along to the next "guru". I have a few tried and true people that I like to watch and they are not necessarily the ones with 25,000 subscribers either. I like to watch people who are like me, around my age (32) and are intelligent and don't sound like a freaking 17 year old valley girl when they get on camera. Some of them are on there just to be told how pretty/beautiful/hot/sexy they are. They are supposedly reviewing a product without the ability to speak intelligently and help to the viewer to gain a sense of whether the product is good or bad.

Wow, I had the total wrong idea about this thread. I thought we were talking about white people (YT) MUSIC videos. I was all set to talk about Bey vs. Tayler Swift.

This is why I HATE watching youtube now. :nono: Nothing but shameless promotions. I may not buy it but I want to watch a video tutorial not an informercial. :ohwell:

I've seen that. :look: May I add that people are beginning to see the truth and I can tell in the comments :look: :lachen:

I look a guru's with the side-eye. :look: If you have more promotions going on than actual knowledge of what you're saying then I skip and move on.

I used to watch fafinettex3 or whatever she's called, back when I thought she was cute, funny and did nice reviews and tutorials, but now she's promoting hair appliances, makeup brands and even clothes. I don't watch her anymore even though I'm still subbed. I'm sure she's a nice person and all, but once you've gone all commercial I tend to lose interest.

I still watch her but when she turns on the sales pitch I don't watch!

I love me some youtube mu tutorials and product reviews. It's just fun to watch. I like to see how people use different tools to get a desired look...or use different methods.

Like I learned a new way to cut the crease really hard. I use to just use a brush and pack it in, but I saw someone use a liner and blend it out...:yep: me likey. It looked much easier and less time consuming.

Some folks do wear there makeup really loud and bold..I LOVE IT. I use to do that when I was in college all the time. But, I couldn't do that now..first of all it's not me...and I don't desire the look anymore. However, I love to still watch to see which products they are using (product junkie in me) and color combinations.

That's one thing about me...I usually can perform the task, but my imagination is soo limited.

I watch some crazy stuff. Even makeup on how to be drag....but that's probably because I'm more of an artist at heart..makeup is about expression to me first and foremost and NOT just about looking good.

But, bad camera work...can't see this...loud folks in the back..umm I skip on over to the next person.

I have to add in a disclaimer...I can create some out there looks, becuase makeup is more art to me, but I guess I do it with more finess now.

I'm the same way. I'm still subscribed to her, but I rarely watch the videos anymore. Everytime I watch she's purchased about $400 worth of product (where does she get all of this money?) or is pitching something she received for free. Also, it just seems like her attitude has changed. I started watching her in early January and she was so funny. Now she almost seems like a totally different person. :nono:
