I love doing my own makeup, but never relli tried to do it on others. Do you do this? Do you find it easier or harder to apply it other people?

I've only done makeup on one friend. I found it harder. I tried the same techniques on her and it just didn't work. I know my face and what looks great on me...on others, eh not so much.
I pretty much do my own makeup. I dont have anyone to makeup. I did my cousin's makeup for her graduation and she loved it. (so did I)

I agree. It takes just as much practice if not more to learn how to put makeup on others so that it looks flawless.

I do. It's easier to do my own makeup because I know what I like. Application is not harder, it's using colors and doing looks that the person will love. I don't like to waste time, so I ask the person what they like and then do a test face (if I can) so that there's no suprises on the day that they need the makeup done. I have to carry less makeup that way too. :)

I've never done a full face before. I did one of my friends eyes a LONG time ago. I actually want to start practicing doing different faces.

Harder! Last night I totally tried to do my roommates make up again.... I totally couldn't do it. I was jacking up her eye make up. It was such an issue. You just get so used to doing your make up, you know colors and techniques to avoid. I suffer from trying to do my make up style on another person, and that hardly works out. My eyes are so big, I have a lot of room for error.

I've done make up on several other people. I'm almost better putting make-up on other people, especially with eye shadows - the blending just seems to work better. As long as the person sits still, I'm good to go :).

Yea I do my own and now that I'm working with a photographer I will be doing models as well.I find it to be about the same because I'm a perfectionist when it comes to makeup and so as long as I have plenty time to do the look Im good

I love doing both. But mine is easier when it comes to what I like. Hate doing it for my mom, because she complains about every color I choose, and even the ones she 'thinks' will look good on her. But if the person is pretty open to anything, that's when I do my best work. :yep:

I've done plenty of my friends and co-workers makeup. I don't find it any harder or easier than doing my own. I just don't like that once you do other people's makeup, they want you to do it ALL the time. Sometimes they don't even ask, they sort of tell you to do it.

I do both, except for my mother. I don't have the patience to deal with her neurosis. I worked in the makeup part of Sephora, so I'm used to doing other people's makeup as well. What's hard is when people really don't know what they want, and they ask for something that's different from what they're really looking for (e.g. most people don't want a dark smoky eye, no matter what they say. They look at NARS Nightfall and darn near pass out ). It took a while to learn to parse through what they said to what they meant, but after that it's been fine.

I do my friends make up everytime we go out! I'm always the designated makeup artist for their/our events. I find it easy to do. I just follow the natural lines on their face and try to enhance anything they may not naturally have... they love it.

I find it harder to apply makeup on others. I've done it on my sister a couple of times. The looks turned out good, but not as good as they do on me. I guess it's because I've had a lot of practice with doing my own makeup, but no practice with doing makeup on others. Hopefully she will continue to let me practice on her. :yep:
