I was thinking it would be cool to get a listing of things people purchase when going grocery shopping that work well in the WW program.
Ill add a few of my own.
Lean pockets ...they vary, but generally they are between 4 and 6. I eat them as a meal.
FF special k waffles....a pt a piece.
Boca Burgers no more than 3 pts. a serving. Sometimes there are as few as 1.
Kraft free dressings...most are a pt. for 2 tbsp. The Italian and the Red Wine Vinegar are both O.
FF franks are a pt.
Ill think of more...

Thanks guys!
Vev - you don't have trouble cooking with Pam? I tried and off brand spray butter for cooking and it sucked. I was thinking about going back to regular Olive Oil and just limiting the use.....
What do you think? And you're doing a modified (counted) version of Core? Correct?
CF I'm gonna do the same with the Smart Ones meals. I think to the extent that they help cut down on the confusion of modifying regular recipes while you're trying to get acclimated to the program, they can really help. And some of them are excellent. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Do try the lean pockets. I use them when I'm in the mood for a bacon egg and cheese on a roll or the McD's biscuit version, or when I want a major sandwich that would be too many points (like a hero or a philly cheese sandwich or something).
I have these two right now:
Philly Cheese
Bacn Egg and Cheese
I want to try many of the varieties listed here:
http://www.chefamerica.com/lean/products/products.asp?ID=368
They make my life SO easy. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I can imagine they'll be very helpful when I start working. Just pop some in the freezer and there's breakfast and/or lunch. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I need something fun to do with chicken cutlets too. I also got a great recipe for a chicken dish this week at my meeting. I'll post it in the other WW thread.
Also - FF yogurt and FF/Sugar Free yogurt. Great for something sweet at night.

Not really. I use it for eggs and when a recipe calls for it.
I dont look to it to give foods flavor. Just to moisten the skillet while I sautee something that goes in something else.
Yes I am doing Flex with mostly Core foods. I mostly stay away from processed stuff. No High fructose Corn syrup whatsoever....and very little transfats.

I know the Lean Cuisines are high in sodium, but they are the only thing that keeps me on point. I try to get things as simple as possible. I confess I have no self control. I was over to my moms the other day and she was going to fry some chicken. I couldn't take it, I told her that if she fried that chicken, I was going home. She didn't so I stayed and we both ate a Lean Cuisine. Here are my favorites:
Egg whites 3= 1pt
whole egg= 2pts
english muffin=2pts
ham slices (30 cal per slice)=1 pt
cheese 2%= 2pts
new baked oreos or chips ahoy= 2pts per bag
mini bags of popcorn= 2pts

I figured out what I did wrong. I was trying to use spray BUTTER (as in Parkay) as opposed to actual spray OIL. I bought a can of spray canola oil and cooked with it last night and had a fantastic time of it. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Note to all - spray oil WORKS. /forums/images/graemlins/look.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

What I got at the grocery store this weekendL
BEANS! BEANS! BEANS! Very low in points - lo cal, high fiber and lo fat.
Potatoes (I found some great lo point recipes I want to try with them.
Burritos from the frozen food section. They're a little high in pts., about 7-9, but they're a good quick meal.
Grated cheddar and mozzarella - low fat of both.
Good for toppings and salads. Also good to modify dishes like Lasagna, ziti, tacos etc....
All be suprisingly LO in points if you tweak things like milk, cheese, sauces and such. I mad cheddar chicken last night for 7 points a serving. With some salad and 0 point dressing - that's dinner! And a yummy dinner it was!
I also got lots of chicken broth for a fat free base for sauces....
I'm big on cooking now...so lots of my finds are starting to be more whole foods and stuff...

Ditto on the fat free, low sodium broths Tracy. They are great to steam veggies in for flavor. I got chicken and vegetable ones.

How many points are you guys counting for boneless skinless baked chicken breast, I normally have one with my salad at work, but am getting conflicting information. On some things it says 3 and some 4. Thanks!

You really have to weight it, lonesome. 3oz is 3 points.
