Hey ladies.....
Just wanted to share this diet that I have been following for 2 weeks now and lost 5lbs. I don't know if this is some kind of fad diet somewhere but it always works for me. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I never eat carbs and protein together like if I eat chicken I don't eat any rice with it. If I eat rice and beans or pasta no meat with it. The pounds just be falling off http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/ohwell.gif It's weird.
Has anyone else been doing this or tried this http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

This sounds similar to that Suzanne Somers weight-loss book. It says not to eat meat/fatty foods & high-carb foods in the same meal. Here's a link: Somersizing (http://www.lowcarbing.com/llc/somers/rules.htm)
I haven't tried it, though. I like eating meat & bread/pasta together.

it's my understanding that a little protein should be incorporated in every meal???

Yeah I know that there has been a rave for protein in every meal but me and 2 co workers are doing this and we have each lost an average of 4.7 pounds in 2 weeks and we just eat like oatmeal for breakfast, a baked potatoe and side salad for lunch and dinner a piece of meat and some veggies. Drink 64 or more ounces of water and dang pounds just sliding off. I even feel lighter but full when not combining my meals. My analysis of this was that when not combining protein and carbs the body uses them better for energy and burns the calories faster http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/ohwell.gif I guess but Thanks Ipanema http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I will open the link http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I used to do food combining all the time, now I only do it 80% of the time. I find that food digest better for me when I eat this way and I have more energy. I don't do it to diet though.
I started experimenting with different combinations of food, because I was always falling asleep in class and tired. So, I started keep track of what I was eating and what time, and how it was effecting me. Then I start trying different ways of eating. I found that food combining worked best for me and after that, I was able to stay awake in class and didn't feel tired.
I read different school of thought about the "Eating Fruit Alone" Rule with food combining. I do mix acid or sub-acid fruits with nuts/trail mix for breakfast sometimes or as a yummy snack!
