I need to update my wardrobe for fall/winter so help me out guys!

-First on the list is my short puffy coat with the fur trim, sell it or keep it for winter?

-Second...I have a long black wool J.Crew coat. Since it is so simple, I was just going to update it with an accesory. So should I pin on a brooch, flower, or tie a satin ribbon across the waist?

-Third...I saw this tailored looking cute suede jacket yesterday. Real cute. So I guess my question is, is suede a yay or a nay?

-Fourth...Ponchos are somehow growing on me but my question is, they have the warm sweater like ponchos and the silk scarf like ponchos...I'm leaning towards silk...but sweater or silk?

Fifth...Considering a pleated wool skirt prolly in a sweater material...yay or nay?

Sixth...I have a wonderfully warm and very cute coat that is leather and lined in fur, only two buttons so it dips low and opens dramatically on the bottom. May sell it because it didn't even get cold enough to wear last year. It has a two inch space where the stitching is loose. So do I keep it, get it restitched in that spot and hope for a freezing day or sell it?

Seventh...I have a lace up jacket that I don't know if I should keep or sell...it's thigh length, denim and laces all they way up both sides...sell or keep?

I guess that's it for now. May add more later so help me out ladies with ideas!!! I am on a budget so I can't get too many things!

I'm going to steal this one myself I like that! A brooch would look nice!
Poncho's are going to be in big time this fall....the sweater one's are nice for a casual style but the silk is nice for the evening and office attire as well. Sounds like you got everything down girl!

3. Yay
4. Sweater
5. Is it wool or sweater?
6. Repair it...I'm not big on leather coats, but if you like it, I'd fix it
7. Sell

RealLuv,

Did you see the article on ponchos in the Nashville Scene this week? It basically says that they are almost over, but if you're gonna wear one, get one that looks authentic, like a crocheted one, not something made of silk, rayon or anything like that.

Not that you should base your style on fashion articles, but just a thought. Ponchos seem to be something to go and come every 3-4 years.

I think ponchos are just everywhere. I think a very nice alternative is a tailored blazer (I think this is what there called) in velvet, suede or corduroy. A short fitted jacket is nice. Ponchos everybody and their momma has one.

That's one of the reasons I hadn't gotten a poncho but I haven't seen anyone in nash actually wearing a silk or satin one! They all have the same knit fashion cents ones it seems! May skip the ponchos anyway, since I don't like buying stuff and only wearing it for one season. So I will give that one a "nay"

As for blazers...man I am the blazer queen! Well not really but I have a few wool ones and a corduroy one. Like I was saying in the post I was eyeing a suede one I saw yesterday...it was too cute. May make that a "yay"
