What do you ladies think about them? When I first saw them I thought they were ugly....BUT......the pink ones have kind of grew on me....now I want them!! Does anybody else have a pair? If so what do you wear with them?

I had a fake pair last year (well I still have them). They look cute with skirts...especially denim or earthy type skirts. They also look cute over stretch denim. Also with a short skirt and long thick cable knit socks or colorful socks (have to have the right outfit, though). Also they can just be worn under pants because even the fake ones are very comfy.

i like them...and i wear them in the winter becuz they keep your foot really warm...basically its one of those things that u either love or hate...

i wear them with denim skirts as mentioned above and pants tucked in or cuffed( usually dark denim 7 jeans or dif color courdoroys(sp)...and colorful skirts because the taupe pair that i had brings out the color in other hues

Yep! I think they will definetly be in this year! especially since they are coming out with the red ones for the fall!

They are everywhere! Even Payless has the imitations! http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. The only thing is that the very first people who started wearing them probably won't anymore b/c they have become so popular. I am one of them. I started wearing them last fall, and I swear I was the first black girl/first girl in my school to wear them. I tell you I got laughed at so much when I wore them in the "hood" http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Now even hoodrats want them! Go figure!

the ones that came out last season are very last season...but the ones that are coming out this season are cute...
now the new pairs have different stitching and the sole is also different...and the width of the top too...matter of fact the only thing that is the same is the shape of the shoe

yup i am a big fan of season appropriate items...

I think some people don't understand that Uggs were originally created to wear in sandy places and also in new snow........they adjust to the temp of the weather .............so even though they look like winter boots u can wear them anytime!

I like them, I was watching E! news last week and they were like they are not going to be instyle this year, another look that's supposed to be out was the trucker baseball caps (Von Dutch), so to me it's iffy, I want a pair b/c I want the ugg purse and a shearling to rock this winter but at the same time, I don't want to be so last year....... go to www.shopintuition.com (http://www.shopintuition.com) and check out the purses....they have other things on the site that are hot! http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/ohwell.gif

They are VERY LAST year. I hated going to LA seeing girls wearing these boots in the dead of spring/summer with thier sun dresses. That was just ridiculous. However, I will spending my first winter near lake Michigan in Chicago and I hear this is the worst place to be for winter. Therefore, I will be investing in some Uggs to fend off this winter weather. However, I will be wearing them in the SNOW with a pair of long johns!

My daughter has about 3 pairs... these are all she wears in the Fall/Winter, and they've been "in" (at least here in NY) for the past few years!! :yep: They're expensive, but she has definitely gotten lots of wear out of hers!

Hi Dani!

They have UGGS for cold weather wear (ice & snow) but the ones commonly purchased are "Classic" and "Casual comfort" and can get really messed up if worn regularly in the snow and ice. Running out of the house with your UGGS on in light snow or rain won't be a problem, but you should make sure you protect them if you want to keep them looking good.

:yep:

ETA: UGGS have been around for a very long time. They don't really go out of style if you have your own style...they have become more "TRENDY" in the past several years but I know people who have been wearing for over 15 years or more.

The key to keeping the outdoor ones looking nice is to treat with water repellent. UGG makes one and a suede cleaner too. I have some lilac and pink ones that I trudge through snow and rain in and they still look brand new after 4 years.

I have been wearing my UGGs since I got them almost everyday! I even wear them while driving to work and change into my heels when I get into the office. They are the most comfortable footwear I have ever experienced. WOW!

I have the Classic in Chestnut and Pink. Fortunately for me, I have a small foot so I am able to get the "Youth" sizes and they fit perfectly! You can get the more "fun" colors in the Youth sizes. Purchasing the "Youth" size was the only way I could get the Pink color since they discontinued them in the adult size.

I am contemplating buying the "blue" in "Youth."

Thank you for looking. I should have bought them when I saw them avl. I didn't think they would sell out. I thought the popularity had passed and I was just late. oh well. I could pay an outrageous amount on eBay or just wait until after Christmas. I'll probably just wait. Thanks again!

You're welcome Splash, but didn't you read my comments a few posts earlier in this thread?

Uggs have been around for a LLLLOOOONNNNNGGG time (we're talking about years my dear and will ALWAYS be popular particularly among white people.) They just became popular amongst the trendy. Like I said, they NEVER go out of style in reality. Once you put those babies on your feet, you will be sold! Trust me! :yep:

They sell out every year! :drunk:

The best time to buy them (if you want original Uggs and not knockoffs or look-a-likes) is the late summer to early fall.

Thank you. I know they have been around for a long time. I put some on in the store and didn't want to take the off. I just really started liking them. I'll keep looking.

I think they are ugly/cute, but too many people wear
them... so I wouldn't be caught dead in them.
I wish they'd do something different with them...
I see they are trying to sexy them up a bit...
with new styles but not sexy enough for me.

Uuuurrrrrgh. I would never wear these. Not out of the house anyway.
I would possibly wear them as slippers, if I was given them free. Bear in mind I own these:

... so my taste in household footwear could be classed as 'debatable'.

When everyone was wearing them I thought they were so ugly and way too many people wore them. I never really had an interest in them back then. I then saw a girl not too long ago with the short classic black ones on with pants and they looked really cute. I would only buy the black pair at this point and they would only be worn with pants. I'm not in love with them but I want the black classic pair. I'll get a pair after the Christmas rush. Ugg does have some other cute styles.

Your house slippers look similar to the rare Ruby Red UGGs I just won off eBay. The only difference (except for the colored nodules) is I LOVE my UGGs and do wear them out the house!

Definitely NOT for me. I'm tired of seeing them. Basically I'm tired of seeing the tanned peroxide bottle blondes wearing these things with those super short mini denim skirts. And they are always smiling and laughing, what the heck is so funny?:ohwell:

Actually it's not that serious, they seem pretty comfy. I guess I'm tired of the popularity.

I wouldn't wear them, but I saw a girl wearing a pair in CVS yesterday and they were cute...I think they laced up and had fur at the top...not your typical plain UGGS. I actually got closer to look at them and saw the UGG name on the back..pretty jazzy. I would love a pair for taking my dog out in the snow..maybe I'll buy a knockoff pair.

ETA-I looked on their site and they have classic Uggs for men, lol.:lachen:

Okay, so I am planning on purchasing my first pair of Uggs soon (I'm sooo excited!) and I have 2 questions:

1. Can you obviously tell when someone is wearing the Classic Tall vs. the Ultra Tall? I have long legs, so I was thinking the Ultra Tall would look better on me, but I'm not so sure. Plus, the $50 higher cost is a bit of a deterrent too...

2. To those who have Uggs in Sand, do you find that they get dirty pretty quickly? For this reason alone, I am seriously contemplating getting them in Chocolate, so I don't have to worry about them looking grimy after a month of wearing them in the rain...

The Ultra looks more like a utility boot because of the thicker sole and will probably be better if you plan on wearing them in the rain.
I have the Sand but have not worn them yet, but my Baby Pink one's have been treated. I try not to wear them when the forecast calls for rain. I am sure they will get a little dirty, but if you treat them with the UGG Water and Stain Repellent, they should stay fairly clean. Mine do. Also, I hear that after they are treated, that cleaning them is easy and they turn out nice.

 My friend wanted to get the Classic Tall in black for her daughter.

I purchased a pair on eBay for her last Wednesday and trust me, it was one of the very few left that did not cost $250 or more!

And guess what? It's being shipped all the way from Shaighai, China! I just hope they are not fakes, but UGG are made in China anyways so ....
