Hey ladies,
What are some good breakfast shakes. I plan on using Almond Breeze of some one sugar free Almond or Soy milk.
I need some idea, I've read some post talking about a "Hair Shake" what is this? If it includes a raw egg, can you tell from drinking?
Thank you ladies:)

I used to drink the egg shake with the raw egg. Nope, couldn't even taste the egg.
I used almond milk, ice cubes, frozen banana, lecithin granules, wheat germ. Those are the ingredients for my egg shake. The frozen banana added a nice sweetness to my shake so I didn't have to use any kind of sugar.

DD & I have been having this shake for a week now, it's delish and sugar free:
8oz. of Almond breeze (unsweetened) either chocolate or vanilla
1 scoop of Jay Robb chocolate Whey Protein Powder
1 tsp. of Xylitol.
Blend well and enjoy, it tastes like a Wendy's Frosty:lick:.

Where can I get Jay Robb chocolate Whey Protein Powder?
I get mine from any Heath Food Store, except GNC, GNC doesn't carry it, they carry other brands.

Does it have the consistency of a Wendy's Frosty? I want to do protein shakes but have a hard time dealing with the consistency of most.

What I do so that it has the consistency of a Wendy's Frosty is freeze the almond milk (8 oz), and i use 1 1/2 - 2 scoops of the whey protein powder. This gives it that texture along with the protein powder. My DD loves it and she's very picky. She wants one everyday:grin:.

Hi Guys - have been a "lurker" on the site for a while now just tring to get ideas on caring for my own hair.
I have recently decided to incorporate more protein in the form of whey into my diet (ideally breakfast) in the form of shakes, smoothies, pancakes, yoghurt, oatmeal ect etc.
Have done a bit of googling and seem to have hit a blank wall because there seems to he conflicting info as to whether whey is a good or bad thing for hair growth. Please see article below;
http://www.drshapiroshairinstitute.com/hair-education/nutritional.php
Anyway I am now looking for a whey protein without any HGH and branched amino acids and was wondering if anyone had any ideas? I was going to buy the Solgar brand as I saw that they got good reviews on taste and am familiar with the quality of their products (its bad enough that I am not a milk or milkshake person so taste is a pretty important factor).
Any ideas would therefore be gratefully appreciated.
Also I am not just doing this for my hair but rather also general health as I am not naturally the worlds biggest meat lover preferring fish.
Many thanks in advance
