I know what you mean. I tried sending one too, but it didn't work for me.

I'd love it if you figured it out, but no worries if you don't.

A DVD would be to large to send, you would need to burn it to another DVD and send it via mail.

There are usually programs that let you make copies of DVDs. I think if you pop the DVD in and right click on it, it should give you the option. I don't have one with me to tell you exactly how to do it. Then the information will be buffered on your hard drive, you can then copy it to another DVD. Some DVDs have copyright protection and may not allow you to make copies.
