I have been vigorously working out the past 3 months, and before that it was on and off for almost 2 years. I have cut down the thickness in my lower body by a considerable amount (i.e. cut down pants/belt sizes, thighs don't rub anymore, less giggle in thighs, etc.). But now I want to adopt a workout plan to slim down my legs to the extreme, resulting in slender, tone legs. I'm shying away from big and bulky legs. I'd like to focus my time on one particular workout that will bring me these results.
Thanks ladies!
EDIT: I couldn't edit the poll, but a third question should have been "what was your frequency of the workout per week?"

You may want to try yoga. It helps your entire body get that long, lean look. Running as well. I find that most other things help you lose fat by building muscle, but bulk you up as well.

Thanks for your suggestion, Miz Avalon. I tried Yoga on the Ball once and also Pilates once and I was real sore after both. Now that I'm stronger and more fit than I was before I might just give it another gen.
You may have a point there about other types of workouts. My b/f was telling me that the cross trainer toned his legs, but, um, they're big, tight, and muskily, lol. That's why I had to create this poll to get some advice from women.

I agree w/ Mz Avalon I would def say yoga and pilates cause they stretch out the muscles.

I agree with yoga and pilates about stretching out the muscles. I also read that jumping rope is the only thing that reduces the size of the calves and the ankles. I didn't think that reducing the ankle size was even possible.

I would say some aerobics like the jumping rope. BUT I have been doing PILATES /BUN AND TIGHS for LESS THAN 2 weeks and I can defenitely see results on my legs. Buy the dvd on ebay - less than 15 dollars and give it a try . I will work.
Or if you know already the how to cirles your legs, scisors, and bycicles try them. And be consistent

Walking helped to tighten up my legs.

I have to say that I don't really carry a lot of weight in my legs. They tone up quickly and have never been a problem area. Squats tone them up w/the quickness when accompanied w/regular cardio sessions to burn the fat away. I know women tend to think weights will bulk them quickly, but you have to squat alot of weight. I actually add bulk to my legs, but it was never out of control, just very toned and defined when I used the bar. I was squatting 200 lbs. w/the bar and 270 on the squat machine. But if you just do squats w/a mop handle and really contract the muscle it works just fine too for toning. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
