Back-to-school skivvies. I need some help

Ahem. I want to buy new panties, bras and socks for back to school. I normally do this shopping at Target or Walmart because they're pretty cheap there but I don't want to this year because...well, they're CHEAP lol. I'm sick of frayed trim after 2 washes, weak waistbands and holes in socks.
So I'm ready to step it up a notch--BUT! I'm still a poor college student and can't spend $10 on a single pair of underwear.
Can you help me? What are some good brands/stores to buy quality underwear that won't set me back too much? My VISA card has been payed off since April and I haven't put a thing on it in anticipation of school shopping--but I need to be reasonable since I only work part-time and I'm gonna have to buy textbooks soon lol

I say H&M if there is one near you. They have really cute bras and underwear (bikini, thongs, and boycuts) :)

Go to Dillards. They have 75% off sales all the time and they have really sturdy underwear because it's really the good stuff marked down.

Argh! I keep hearing about H&M but we don't have one here, nor is there one in CA where I go to school (I just checked on the website). We DO have a Dillards at the mall here though :)

any major Department Store or if you have a Warner's or Bally's Outlet store near you and then there is always Marshalls TJ Maxx and Ross they carry major brands at off prices

Also make sure you're washing your undies in a lingerie bag (you can get one from Walmart for $3-4). They'll hold up longer that way because they don't get tangled and twisted so much in the wash.

Kohls! I get my panties and bras there. If you go on a Wednesday or when you see commercials for their sales you can walk out of the store with at least 3 bras and 5 panties for under $20.
