What color would look nice with this shade?

I hijacked this from another thread, but I got this really cute 3 piece suit at a thrift store for $10! Its the same color as the tweed suit below, but its pants and a jacket and the jacket is really long(knee length). I fell in love with it bc this is my favorite color but I didnt like the cami it came with.

what colors would look nice with it? I was thinking I could do a button up shirt or a tank, either striped or solid and black heels??? but dont know what color....

no, its a jacket with a collar and v shape, like a regular suit, except the jacket is long instead of to the hip. It doesnt button, its kind of open with a string that ties it together. u would either wear a camisole under it or a shirt with a collar.

just dont know what color would be nice besides black or white. maybe some shade of rose/pink or even wine?

I'd stick to shells, tanks, camisoles if the jacket ties in front. If it ties off to the side (like a wrap), then a button down may also be okay. At least in my head, I don't like the look of the button with a tie front jacket. Some colors that look nice with just about everything are black and ivory. Lavendar would also look good with that color. As far as the other colors (ie, wine, rose, pink), it's hard to say how it would look without seeing the items together. HTH!

I would sick to a tank that dips kinda of low. I think anything in the pink/red family would look nice. I would not do black . I would have my shoes macth the tank in a solid color (purse would too).

that sounds good God Favor, I was thinking that about the shoes too...I think black might be too blah since its a dark purple.A cream color would probably work. the tank it came with is ugly, it looks like it was splashed with paint with black grey and that purple color and some other colors I cant think of. I just wasnt feeling it! Ill just take the suit with me when I go looking for a cute top and shoes. I just couldnt pass up the suit bc its nice and it fit AND purple is my favorite color but its not TOO purple.
