I was just going through looking at some of my old skin picture and I almost cried. It was SOOOO BAD. It just wouldnt stop breaking out. It was super oily and I am always self-conscious. They just keep coming, it was completely overwhelming. Than I calmed down and begin to really search for something that worked for me.
My skin is 300% better now. God is so good. I was trying everything back then. Then I found something simple and now I am in maintenance mode and clearly up the rest of very light acne scars. I am back to chemical peels to knock those out a little faster.
I am aiming for smaller pores for a flawless face but I am super grateful for my skin now. :grin: Its still oily a bit but no more mass breakouts.

Wow you have come a long way! You're skin looks beautiful. You are glowing. Please share your regimine with the rest of us.
My skin was VERY bad once upon a time too. A few months ago to be exact. Thanks to GOD. I realized that the simple things are sometimes for the best. I agree chemical peels will def. benefit you in the long run as far as dark spots and smoothness of the skin is concerned.
If anyone is interested. I just did a homemade chemical peel (friday) using ONLY organic plain yogurt. OMG!!!! I could not believe my eyes, my skin was actually Peeling. My pores are smaller,face less oily and my skin feels BABY SOFT. A few of my dark spots peeled away withing 3 days. I will be doing this regimine weekly. Can't wait for the lovely results!

What worked to control the acne mass breakouts was the Acne.org regimen. But all you really need is the Benzoyl Perixode. I started with just the Benzoyl Peroxide and a store brought cleanser and moisturizer. Now, I have to full set (BP, Cleanser, Moisturizer, AHA, and Jojoba oil). I wont be doing that anymore. Just the BP and AHA. You can use substitutes for the others. I dont use the Jojoba on my face anymore but it helps to stop the moisturizer from caking. Just Youtube it.
It works wonders. Beware it will bleach clothes and sheets so apply to face after you put on clothes and sleep on white towel or something.
Now, it controlled it but didnt stop them completely so I was still battling a little bit but it helped TREMENDOUSLY.
When I started taking Chlorella however...OMG...I was in love. I dont even take it for hair. When I started using it, my breakouts stopped. Now, I can focus on the scars. I may get a little bump here or there but it doesnt stay and doesnt leave a mess for me to clean up like before. Include some sort of superfood in your diet, it helps.
My current 'kinda' regmin is:
Queen Helene Natural Scrub every other day or so while in shower
Wash face with Ance.org cleanser morning (you can substitute this with Purpose or Cephatil(sp?))
Apply BP
A little moisturizer
Wash face at night
Apply AHA+
This doesnt always go as planned but I stick with the Chlorella regularly. My CHL recipe in Fotki.

Hello. Thank you for sharing your pictures. Your hair and skin are so beautiful.
I was 7 years old when I was diagnosed with Acne. My dumb general practitioner gave me everything under the sun. I finally took charge of my body and left him for a Dermatologist that put me on Accutane. My face was so beautiful...
Then I got off birth control and my face exploded :( So I got on accutane again. And you guessed it... stupid me got off birth control again. My body just couldn't take the changes and my face exploded.
I tried the Acne cure but my face can't take the BP2%. I have recently given away all of my old products and started using natural stuff. I'm trying to not eat dairy either.
BTW, Purpose Brand is a great cleanser. Give it a try.

Thank you for sharing your regimine. BP is too harsh for my skin. It worked in the past but I could never use that stuff now. I'm glad you found something that works for you.
For the chemical peel I used Stoneyfield Farm plain smooth and creamy yogurt. Only $1.19 at the organic market. It's truly amazing! The texture of my skin has improved so quickly. I look lighter, brighter and more smooth. Thank GOD for the simple stuff.
For anyone experiencing acne. It's always best to keep it simple. Drink plenty of water and clean up your diet first and foremost. It's a must! WE are not like those people who are genetically blessed, therefore we really do HAVE to work hader at getting and keeping our skin clear.
The simple things I have been using that has given me DRAMATIC RESULTS, Better than any dermatologists regimine (antibiotic pills :nono:)...has been (I would like to thank LHCF for all these greeeaaat tips) Food grade hydrogen peroxide (diluted) as a toner, ALA and Fish oil vits. I use lemon in my cleanser to lighten the dark spots. I also steam my face with a towel at EVERY wash. And I use tazorac nightly, but it isn't the reason my face is better I only began seeing dramatic improvents when I went the simple route. :yep:

Beautiful skin (and hair) :)
how i wish i could use BP. But my face is allergic to it; when i tried to use even the lowest percentage, the skin on my face swelled up, and was red and badly itchy; a nightmare;
so now i'm using black soap, shea butter and tee tree oil; it seems to be working;
i've also cut out dairy from my diet, and i'm trying to eat like I'm diabetic (i.e reduce sugar, processed food and bad carbs dramatically). Insulin resistance has been linked to acne after all.
I would love to give chlorella a try; is there an initial breakout phase with this supplement. The only supplement i take so far is agnus castus, flax oil, and zinc gluconate.

Hydrogen peroxide with the BP has helped me alot to clean my skin when I am too lazy to wash my face...
I used to use BP twice a day. Now its more like once every other day or once a day. I am trying to whine myself off completely.

I like Purpose, it is a gentle, no frills cleanser. I have only tried the bar soap. Have you tried their cleanser in the pump yet? What did you think of it if so?

What a blessing! I too have gotten over a bad case of skin on my face. I looked at some old pics from 2 years ago and was blown away at the acne and marks on my face. My face has made a huge turnaround for the better too! Keep taking good care of your skin.

:hiya:
I didnt get an initial breakout. My breakouts just stopped coming in. What was already there just cleared up. Leaving scars that I could work on removing without new pimples coming in. Some people get an initial breakout. Give it a try and see what happens. Adding a superfood will help more than anything because you'll get the nutrients you're not getting from multivitamins or poor quality food.
