I really need to start doing them on a weekly basis to aid in my feet in their recovery of the nine month Chicago winter hibernation...I'm truly embarassed and should be ashamed of their condition. :perplexed I darn near cut my SO.
Consistent professional pedicures are not in the cards right now (only as a treat). I would really like a good cream to get them soft and moist. They get dry so quickly. So far I use and like..
1. Carol's Daughter Sea Salt Scrub
2. Aveeno Foot Cream (it's ok)
4. I add a little EVOO to my foot soak
Also I really want a good sea salt nail buffer for those ridges but can't find one. Any products or procedures you love are welcome. :yep:

After trying a bunch of more expensive pedi products, I have settled on the Heel to Toe products from Sally's. These products are very good, inexpensive and are often on sale.

Avon's pedicure products work very well for me and are reasonably priced.

I hate sleeping in socks, but I may just have try it. Maybe slather them in shea butter or vaseline.
Thanks guys, keep em comin.

sleep in them one night only or even nap in them after you have applied oil to wet feet, you will notice a difference.

I love gold bond foot cream....I'm trying flextol heel balm w/ 25% urea...but I think I may like gold bond better.

Olay thermal pedicure and any type of foot scrubbing apparatus... BUT NOT A metal RAZOR OR PEDEGG... my mom used to shave her feet with the metal files and she has even worse calluses. Cutting your skin does nothing but make your body want to repair itself. Thick calloused skin is a way for your body to protect itself from future damage. My mom was religious about getting weekly pedicures, but it did more harm than good. DO NOT LET those people CUT your foot. Now my mom goes to a place where they only use the liquid callous remove and a pumice stone and her feet are starting to recover.
Anyway the Olay Thermal Pedicure gets warm with water and it just divine! and its particles really smooth out feet. Also Bath and Body Works Heel of Approval cream is amazing... just slather that on and put on some socks.. Nieva Creme also is a good heavy moisturizer for feet.

I paint my nails and apply a top coat without bothering to make sure that I don't get any on my skin. I sleep in socks with Alpha Hydrox glycolic acid foot cream. In the morning I scrub my feet in the shower with Olay Thermal Pedicure on a pumice stone and use a wash cloth to rub the polish that's on my skin off. I use the pumice stone, scrub and cream a few times a week but only paint my toes once a week.

I looove the ped egg. It really works. Also, I always put moisturizing lotion (such as Jergen's Shea Butter) on my feet after EVERY shower.

So far I haven't had a problem with the pedegg. Kerasol (or the generic drug store version) has worked really well for me. So has, strangely enough, World Market's body butter. Go figure. I wear socks too, but not when I'm sleeping. I can't sleep with them on, so I just wear them around the house. Works for me.
A nail stick like Sally Hansen's Color Quick Fast Dry or Nic's Sticks by Opi work really well (for me anyways) getting the toes done.

I totally agree...The woman who has done my pedicure for years use to use a razor and my feet always had a ton callused skin growing back...now she uses prolinc callus eliminator and a pumice stone and my feet is soooo soft ...not one callus and now she doesnt even have to use the callus remover often because my feet remain soft between pedi's - Melissa

In my opinion...the more you use the razor...the more you need to use it...since I stopped razoring and switched to liquid callus remover (occasionally) , my feet arent as depended on razoring as it use to be. hth- Melissa
