The lady-like look is in--elbow-length gloves (I will be picking up at least one pair of these, along with a coat with 3/4 sleeves ); fluted skirts, pencil skirts, rounded toe heels (I'm staying away); and BOWS everywhere...on sweaters, blazers, and coats. HTH :).

The camisole shirts that look like lingerie pieces under a fitted jacket. Animal prints are also making a comeback. Fitted tweed jackets dressed down with jeans. The ponchos in really funky colors like orange, mustard. Are in.

I don't know what's really in and out. However, this year I want:
-a bright colored wool coat (thinking of orange)
-a tweed 3/4 length suit with the gloves like Dreemssold
-thigh high boots (not the stripper 6-inch heel kind, the real leather cute kind)
-a really long pearl necklace
-some kind of cameo accessory
-camisoles (I love camisoles)
-wool pleated skirt
-round toed pumps (I usually wear these anyway because they are more flattering on me)
-Hats! I love hats. I need that orange wool coat to match my orange and green plaid fedora.
-An all-white suit with white boots (white in the winter is so striking to me)
-A couple of broaches (because they can instantly update coats and jackets that you already have without spending money on the new ones with broaches attached)
-Long colored socks to peek out over the tops of tall boots
-Satin. A pretty satin dress can be dressed down with a jean blazer or dressed up with an elegant hairstyle and pearls (or diamonds, I'm just partial to pearls).
-One short and one long A-line denim skirt, good pair of jeans, and a denim jacket or blazer (these things never go out of style and they can be worn year round)
One thing I really like which could be considered an "in" is matching fancy pearls and diamonds with fitted tees instead of leaving them for a night on the town.

I might be the odd person out but I want to see more punchy orange items, like mango, peach, tangerine, etc. Pink is cool but I need to break up the monotony.

I think Gold is making a comeback this fall too. Shimmery Gold pocketbooks and Acc. Metallic will be big this fall I think. Belive it or not, Velvet will be in as well.

so as far as long scarves, are u saying out as in wearing them around your neck? Long scarves are my signature, I wore them before they were ever in style but always as a belt or a headband......say it aint sooooo!!!!!

they are my favorite accessory and I always pick them up at thrift stores, etc. Oh well I can still sport them as a headband!
