I am on a hunt for a perfectly fitting pair of jeans. Most jeans seem to be designed for women who are pretty much straight up and down, so finding a perfect pair for my small waisted, wide-hipped, big-behinded self is proving to be a challege.
I am looking for something with some stretch to it, preferably, and with a slightly lower waist and flared leg. Any suggestions? Are the Victoria's Secret jeans any good? Even any men's cuts or brands?

I think this subject came up about a month or two ago- do a search and see what you find...

can someone link or bump the thread then, cause I'd like to know too.
I like Old Navy Jeans. They're inexpensive and work well for those with more junk in the truck w/o costing a fortune.
BabyPhat also works well. For my full figured chicks, you can't go wrong with Lane Bryant.
I've heard that Seven and Guess are also good for thin but bootylicious ladies.

I loooooove my guess jeansI'm shaped like a pear and they fit perfect.
My friend has the same problem you do, options. Her waist is a size 4 but her butt and hips are a size 10. J-Lo and Beyonce don't have nothing on her. She likes Earl jeans. Otherwise, she has to take her jeans and pants to the tailor and just get them altered. She also likes her jeans low rise so they fit her hips instead of her waist and bootcut or gently flared jeans to proportion her better.

Baby Phat Stretch (they have to be stretch) since i bought my first pair they are all i buy. They fit my waist, stretch out for my hips and i don't have that 2 yards of material at the lower back area to deal with.
Oh yea...Levis, i will occasionally find a good fitting pair

I've heard about Seven jeans, but I am not skinny with a big booty, nor do I want to spend more than $45 on a great pair of jeans. I am more voluptous and curvy, like a size 12 or 14 pants with a size 8 or 10 waist, so I need something that has us fuller figured sisters in mind, but recognizes the shapliness factor, too.
As for Levis, what designs or cuts work best? I was looking at some 525s, I think, but I wasn't sure and didn't want to risk buying them online without someone's testimonial.

Oh ... does anyone have any experience with jeans from Newport News?
My co worker loves Newport news jeans. She has a slight pear shape, 14-16 bottom but around a 10 waist. Those aren't expensive at all. :)

hmmm...I remember trying on levis one time and they didnt fit over my butt...lol. then if went larger they were huge in the waist. maybe it was the style....
all my jeans that are my favorites arent any fancy brands, just random finds at ross or somewhere. Express jeans used to fit me(the old ones that use to be on sale for $30 back in the day!) but I swear they started making them smaller now.
The ones that do fit nice have stretch to them.
I dont plan to buy more or invest in any expensive name brand ones until I reach my goal weight though. when I do Ill be shopping around, Im willing to have 1 or 2 nice pairs that may be expensive but be dressed up or down than to have a million pairs that arent all that flattering.

You gotta get the STRETCH levi's. They "break in" too I've noticed. I like express too, but as you said, I think they may have changed their cut a bit because they don'f fit me like they used to either. Plus they discontinued the really dark boot cut jeans that I LOVED. They "brought them back" but they're not the same as they were. :(

juju, I KNOW, AND they doubled and tripled the price! forget that! ok I will try th stretch levis then. But NO more jeans for me till I go down one more size. I got a cute pair of stretch boot cut jeans at old navy last night. They are cute and dark, and regular low rise. The really low rise ones dont pull all the way up on me! LOL

I know what you mean about the "super lows" at Old Navy! The last time I tried a pair of those on I could help but DIE laughing in the dressing room. I know the employees had to be like "what's wrong with her?" You should have seen me trying to pull those things up! It was straight up RIDICULOUS! lol

Oh no @ Express making jeans smaller. Express was my HOPE..say it aint so!!!
But basically any jeans with STRETCH in them works for me. I have big legs, thighs, and a small waist..so I have to get jeans that will stretch and house all of this lol.

OMG! I found perfect jeans this weekend at the most unlikely place.
Levis Signature Stretch Bootcut jeans @ Target! Unbelievable. They make my hips and *** look like they just make a brotha wanna scream from behind! And they are SO comfy. I cannot wait to wear them. I probably need to scoop up another pair in a different wash.

I have 2 pairs of express jeans but I got them from TJ maxx. Ladies at TJ maxx the jeans are like 17.00. I also came across a couple pairs of baby phat (If you like those, I don't) and paper, denim and cloth jeans for like 25.00. The express jeans were the same stuff they had at the express store and the good fitting pairs not the extra skinny crap.

Yeah, I went to Express last week and I noticed that my regular size wasn't fitting well. So the sales lady told me that they re-did their sizes a few months ago. /forums/images/graemlins/ohwell.gif

If you don't mind spending the money, AG Legend jeans and Miss Sixty Low Rise Tommy jeans are both excellent!
