Okay, I will post about my current fashion issues. I am 5.5 mos. pregnant (due fist week in Dec.). Anyway, while I am wearing maternity clothes now, I would love any suggestions in spicing up my wardrobe. I not huge (still in my size 6 clothes-maternity that is) but my boobs and my belly are out of control :ahwell:. Any suggestions where I can find some cute accessories or ideas to funk up the clothes I already have.
Prior to pregnancy I was the sexy chic and yes, I am still working my heels :). I live in NYC and if anyone can even suggest stores besides the usual Motherhood, Gap, OldNavy, H&M where I can get some funky maternity or at least drawstring pants and stretchy tops/dresses I would really appreciate it!!!
Hey Teerama
How are you doing, girl? How is the baby?
Girl, you know that don't need any help on the fashion tip because even though you are pregnant, you still work it.
OT: Me, you and Wolftrap need to get together for dinner again in the city.

Co-signing on A Pea in the Pod. Here is a website called Babystyle.com. They have some nicer things there as well.
Good luck and congrats!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I do have some really cute things from Pea in the Pod (I refuse to buy their 7 jeans. I paid $60 for my pre maternity ones and the maternity ones are $130.) and Mimi. I do get tired of wearing the same things most of the time. I dont intend to buy a WHOLE wardrobe of maternity clothes especially since this will in all likelihood be my last child.
I have been reading around and I think I will have to purchase some really funky accessories like flower pins, necklaces and scarves and continue to rock my heels as long as I can!!! I will continue eyeing the fall fashion trends on this forum for ideas

Hey, Teerama!!!
You sound like me when I was pregnant... still wanted to look hip while pregnant. I was lucky that I was able to wear some of my pre-pregnancy clothes, such as my wrap dresses and ultra low slung hip hugger jeans. I also think that accessories are key! http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif This is how I was working my pregnancy.... Me and Adrienne in LA wearing a pre-maternity wrap dress (http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ajamericandiva/detail?.dir=264f&.dnm=f937.jpg) New Year's Eve... really wanted to feel like the "old" me (http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ajamericandiva/detail?.dir=a19f&.dnm=eb69.jpg ) At my baby shower sporting a pre-pregnancy dress (http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ajamericandiva/detail?.dir=a19f&.dnm=1d24.jpg) Me and fellow LHCFer Webby... I'm wearing a pre-pregnancy top that was once a DRESS!!! (http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ajamericandiva/detail?.dir=976a&.dnm=94b5.jpg)
I'm not sure where you live, but I went to Woodbury Commons Pea in the Pod outlet and scored a lot of loot! Granted, most of the clothes they sold were from Motherhood Maternity and Mimi Maternity. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Once again, accessories are key.

AJ Diva-
Yes girl, you were working it. I have been trying and keeping it together but I am at that 6 month mark now and getting truly bored with what I have. I live in LI so I can get to Woodbury Commons. There is a Maternity Mall outlet out here that has the same names.
I got a few more things this past weekend to jazz it up a bit but I think I really have to work on the accessories....by the way, I am really feeling those heels you had on New Year's Eve. Those were hot. I rock my heels like that when I go out and my friends think I am crazy! I say as long as they feel comfortable WORK IT!!!!

Also, Tee... I've been noticing that a lot of baby dolls were still being worn this summer in the non-maternity world. A lot of stuff I have been seeing look maternity friendly. Granted, they are dong the pencil skirt look now, I have always loved pencil skirts. I have a maternity skirt that I bought at a Liz Lange sample sale that I am able to wear after the baby as it was a low slung pencil skirt. I love the fact that it has stretch and it doesn't ride up when I walk. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Girl, I was at a Trini/Guyanese New Year's Eve Party, so you know it was pure calypso and soca... I was able to dance comfortably, but was constantly teased about the baby's cord getting wrapped around his neck with all the hip gyrations and bamsy rolling... http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/lachen70.gif ... and yes, I was on Eastern Pkwy today. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/lachen70.gif at the bamsy rolling!!! Girl, my Mom likes a good jump up more than me so I have no babysitter come labor day....besides I still stay away from crowds with my big belly (I cant jump a fence if need be!).
I love Liz Lange and I caught her sample sale 2 years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter but even those pieces are not as fashionable this time around. I need a nice pencil skirt. The skirts I see seem to be too wide around the hips and legs. They fit the belly only! I am still laughing at the fact that Liz's clothes are so cute you can wear it without being pregnant....
I was in Pea in the Pod a few weeks ago and I bought a really cute silk and lace cami to wear with jeans and the saleslady (who is NOT pregnant) told me she bought the same top in all 3 colors.....I had to laugh!!!
