I know this stuff isnt for the birds and having a spot of OCD in your blood really helps! you'll do fine! Just remember, be dedicated!!!

Update: Two weeks and 4 days away from the stage and Im eating fish and chicken and broc only. No more sweet potatoes or turkey patties. I loved those things :(
I hadnt gone to the store to get my fish as I didnt know about the diet change until last night so I had to eat a can of tuna today blech. I felt like I was eating cat food. It was so nasty. No mayo, no onions, no eggs, no relish. Just nasty tuna.
Im feeling too small which I dont like. I dont want to even weigh myself because I see some outrageous number Im going to go crazy. My face is shrinking, my body is shrinking and I just look and feel unattractive.
I definitely dont feel "sexy: to anyone even my supportive SO. He says I have a "baby dunk". However, I dont see any dunk at all!
The sad part is that I have more leaning out to do! Im still not LEAN enough. WTF!?!?!?!

I love reading threads like this to learn more about supplements and cycles. It's amazing how much different combinations can affect your body.

I kinda consider myself a "fitness competitor lite" :grin: I think I'm heavier through the hips and thighs compared to most of the competitors.

I'm naturally heavier/thicker in that area. I am still muscular, but I have more "padding". My muscles are very defined throughout my upper body/abs and then from the calves down. If it weren't for my shoulders/chest being wide I'd definitely be pear shaped.

I've noticed that many of the competitors have more of an inverted triangle shape due to cutting their body fat. The added muscle makes the shoulders wider, and the missing fat makes the hips narrower.

When I work out I tend to go for leg-centric workouts b/c that was always the area I was least happy with. I find that sprints, circuit training, & isometric and aka "fast twitch" fiber exercises yield the fastest/most noticeable results for me. A lot of my back/shoulder and ab definition is from belly dancing (holding the frame) and then after that I got into boxing. Long slow leisurely exercise, like pilates, is relaxing, and great for flexibility, but I'd never get cut from that unless it was Bikram.

Update 2 weeks and 3 days till comp:
Im hungry and I feel like my congnition is off. I remember this happening last time. I would forget where I parked my car, what day it was, if I saw a person that day or if it was the first time!
I guess this happens when you severely drop your carbs/ calories. As I stated before, sweet potatoes, turkey and all things delicious have been removed from my diet!
Its getting harder these last few weeks.
Im getting comments from you look great, to youre too skinny, to youre so tiny, your face is so gaunt, to your not lean enough that I dont know what to do.
I feel unattractive but at the end of the day, my legs are still not lean enough. I have to up my cardio to lean these legs out, and box out my abs more.
Today is chest day so Im happy about that.
I just cant wait to hit the stage so I can eat afterwards!!!!

Update: So my first carbless blunder of the day. I deposited money into the wrong account. I have a few accounts one being of my SOs. He calls me and says thank you so much for the gift in my account today. I was like WTF!!!!

I hate to say this, but I seriously feel "ret@rded" today :(

Okay updated...car is in the shop shud be fixed by Monday...And I have my cooler with me today. I have to go to the grocery store so I had to make sure I had a solid dinner before venturing out and about around food...

I'm so happy to see this topic as a couple of ladies at my gym have been talking about this for some time. This is something that I really want to do next year.

Looking for an amateur competition (local) 2010.

2010 Im not sure on the dates exactly but the only shows that I really follow are NPC shows. I know there are smaller shows but Im not really well versed on them. The NPC shows are local and amateaur shows. They are actually National show qualifiers!
THere is the Illinois state show in May
Continental Sept
Ironman Nov/ December
Kevin Noble' show is in May and October

about the bolded: Make sure you flex your bicep when you carry your cooler to really give them something to stare at!

Update: Everything went well today! THey say Im exactly where I should be! GOt a great workout in and even got a peak at a few bodybuilders :)

Hey where is everybody?!?!
Well here is my update: one week and 4 days out from competition and Im shopping around for tanning pricing. For someone who DOESNT tan, this stuff is expensive, FOR REAL. I bought show tan to apply but in addition I am supposed to start tanning every three days in a booth as well as get a spray tan for my base. Next thursday Ill do the first coat of show tan, no shower thursday night, second coat on Friday, no shower Friday, touch up Saturday morning, no shower until Saturday night. Ill be stinking sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad!!!!!!
Oh the fun of competition.
The dieting is finally leveling off. Im not feeling so fuzzy like i was last week. my body is oddly starting to get used to the lack thereof!
Im ready to compete due to the overwhelming comments of my "manface" "muscle face" "skeletor face" :/
Im going to have a nice meal afterwards followed by a day of food enjoyment! Monday Ill have another cheat meal followed by clean eating for the remainder of the two weeks before contest number 2!!!!

Diet is on point. Don't have any cravings...I.am.a.machine. Hope this lasts through my cycle...I'm stepping up the cardio next week...

I love my protein shake. I got the powder from Vistacost.com. Iron Tek-essential natural in Vanilla Cake.:lick: I use two scoop with fat free milk and it is delicious.

Do you mind me asking if you are still enjoying this protein powder? I am looking for a pp that I can buy locally(I have seen this at Whole Foods and the Vitamin shoppe in my area) b/c I know that I am not getting enough protein in my diet.

Update: I have one week and 2 days and I am sooooooooooooooo tired. did I say Im tired already? Oh and Im hungry! I just ate and I am hungry! I am going to eat again! I feel like Im going to fall asleep typing this!
I totally forgot my Lipo 6 at home this morning and I hadnt realized how much energy they were supplying me. I cant even function right now without them. I asked my sister to bring them to me at work since she is borrowing my car but she cant come soon enough!
I tanned last night. I got the cocktail. i went to the tanning salon at the gym and gave them a ish load of money to keep me tanned for te rest of the comp season.

man Im having problems typing this!

Anyways, I got in the tanning bed for 20 minutes. Fell asleep. Then I did the spray tan with bronzer. It looks really nice! Im going to spray tan more for the show and also add the paint on, but I just need a nice even color for the photoshoot tomoorrow.

Thats about it.

Good day! Started the morning with 9 pills. jeez. Im on the taraxatone now to cut water.... I take them three times a day (three pills/time) in addition to what I was already taking ugh.
At least I remembered to take my lipo 6! I wasnt dragging this morning. Per advice of my SO, get up earlier and allow yourself more time to wake up and not rush to work in the morning!
Genius! I feel so much better. Guess I should listen to him more often :/

Oh I am having a photo shoot today as well. Im all tanned and ready to go. Im thinking about doing a Beyonce single ladies inspired shot as well. I got my leotard all ready to go!

5- day final countdown! Ill be competing on Saturday! Cant believe it. My last workout before the show will be Wednesday to give my body time to rest. Ill be doing one more Cocktail of taning and spray tan and then Ill be doing the two coats of jan tana on Friday. Ill drive up to the contest Friday night for pre-registration and stay over night in a nearby hotel.
Im excited and still dont know how Im going to wear my hair. Im thinking big and curly! My hair is much shorter than it was when I competed before due to a recent BC but thats ok!!!

Im not too happy but that is to be expected, so Im told. Im flat due to the low carbs but Ill be carbing up the day of the show so hopefully these muscles will fill out :(

The pictures I took with the photographer look way better because I carbed and pumped up before taking them. Sorry I cant upload them yet.

Yes. I am still loving it. I think that making it with milk as opposed to water gives it a better flavor though.
