Has anyone ever watched this show? It comes on Lifetime daily at 5pm EST and each episode (there are (2) 30-minute episode) features a guest and how they will transform their favorite comfort foods into low calorie versions. There are 3 hostesses (all women) and they show you step by step how to make the low calorie versions of the foods and then they compare the calories of the old version and then the version they came up with, often cutting the calories by 50%. The whole principle here is substitution and making really small changes in products (that don't alter the taste at all) but definitely alter the amount of calories.
They give the guest a nice gift basket with supplies and then they come back in 6 weeks to see if the guest has "dropped a dress size". Lifetime sells the book called "Cook Yourself Thin", but they also post all the recipes and full episodes on their website as well.
Some of the recipes include:
-Stuffed French Toast Sundaes
-Turkey Chili Crunch
-Apple Cinnamon Cake
-Low Cal version of Creamy Mac n' Cheese
-Sweet and Sour Pork Chops
-Carrot Cake
-Oven Crispy Baked Chicken Tenders
-Chewy Oatmeal Raisin cookies......................
and more!

I hope you enjoy the website as much as I have, but if you can, I would suggest catching the show or either watching the full episodes online.
