Hey ya'll a friend of mine used these to lose a lot of inches. I always meant tobuy it from her but lost touch with her. Well my girl Rita who I've known for years turned me back on to them. They're supposed to work by causing a release of toxins in subcutaneous (cellulite) fat which will allow the body to readily access those fat cells for energy (so you of course have to diet and exercise to burn it off). I'm doing my first wrap tomorrow over night so I will weigh, measure and take pics on Saturday Morning and again on Sunday morning. They say you continue to lose inches for 72 hours.
"They" say you can't spot reduce which is true to an extent but if this can help you access that extra stubborn fat then I'll be signing it's prasies:lachen:I think it's good for us who are fairly close to goal and don't want to totally flatten out the booty and lose all the boobies beforethe belly acts right:lachen: It's supposed to tighten the skin too.
IF (big IF I'm soooo skeptical) it works, I will probably become a rep because I think that something like this would be perfect for my coaching clients:yep: My friend Rita has a couple personal trainers that were skeptical but now after trying it are reps too. Aparently it's not water loss (and I will definitely be the test for that because I'm on Atkins, I have no water to lose:lol:) Anywho, we shall see.
Has anyone here ever done one of thier wraps before?
here's Rita's blog where she talks about it and other stuff: http://www.thenaturaldetoxshop.com/

I hven't done that type of wrap before....But I have had a full body wrap done in a spa a few years back...I could tell a difference after they removed the bandages, but it wasn't permanent for ME. It did help remove excess water weight...which of course end up coming back. You may have a different result since your working out steady than I had back then bc I wasn't working out faithfully. I have an "at home" body wrap system that i purchased online last year and I still haven't used it yet. Let me see if I can find the website I purchased it from bc they gave rave reviews.

Yep you can wrap arms, thighs, back, and belly. They say to focus on one body part at a time though. So for instance wrap your belly until you get it where you want it and then move on to thighs, then back or arms, etc. The body can only burn so much mobilized fat at one time, any extra will be reabsorbed which is a waste of money IMO (cuz they're not that cheap)

Yes, it works. There is a body wrap center in Oxon Hill, Md. For my first visit, I lost 13 inches overall. That was in 20 minutes. The last time I went, it was 20 dollars. They also have supplements that they sell to help you out. This is the website below.

ETA: The tea that they have is great and the cleanser.

I think this is the same type of wrap.:yep: The ones that just reduce water weight they wrap you from head to toe, put you in a plastic bag(lol) and have you exercise on an elliptical or treadmill. With the It Works one according to the instructional DVD that came with it you're advised NOT to exercise while wearing it as the sweating can inhibit the absorbtion of the herbs which draw out the toxins:yep:

At this particular place, you don't exercise. Its called a sauna wrap. The solution is applied and you get in the sauna. You get in a massage chair and then remeasured. They have great before and after pics on their site. I also purchased a bodywrap ebook some years back. It has all the recipes to do it at home yourself. That works as well. I have actually did a wrap at home with a sea clay wrap I brought and lost 11 1/2 inches in a hour.

Did this today just for the  at their location on Brightseat Rd, Landover. The process was getting into a light-lightweight plastic suit, you rub-they spray a toning solution on you before stepping into the suit, wrap a velcro belt around your middle and then sit in a non-infrared sauna for 20 minutes. DH and I each lost 4 inches according to their measurements. Cost was $20.00 per person!

I have had a body wrap done. I lost inches but it was temporary and I really think it is just good for if you want to wear a cute li'l number and need to shrink parts of you to fit nicely into the outfit for some event. Your food/drink consumption has to be really strict to maintain that body for as long as you need to.
I share my experience in these two threads:

Rita sent this to me via email:
THE ULTIMATE APPLICATOR is formulated without mineral oil, lanolin, propylene glycol, isopropyl alcohol, artificial colorants, synthetic fragrances, or animal by-products. A safe preservative system without formaldehyde releasers and low parabens concentration, approved in Japan, European community and USA.
v HORSE CHESTNUT (Aesculus Hippocastanum) Provides astringent and anti-inflammatory benefits for products treating reddened, irritated or sensitive skin. In Germany, extract from its seed has been approved to treat poor circulation to the legs, leg cramps, swelling and non-specific leg heaviness. Traditionally used for its ability to reduce varicose veins and hemorrhoids.
v GREEN TEA EXTRACT (Camellia Sinensis) Green tea is known to contain two active groups of chemicals known as xanthines and polyphenols or catechins. The xanthines include components such as caffeine, theobromine and theophylline. These active agents have been demonstrated to suppress inflammation and irritation, as well as reduce cellulite. Polyphenols (also know as catechins) exhibit powerful anti-oxidant properties, which play an important role in the prevention of cell damage. Consequently, green tea extract is considered to play a vital role in protecting the cell from free radical damage initiated by environmental factors such as exposure to UV light. Powerful antioxidant components help prevent or delay skin aging.
v CENTELLA ASIATICA (Hydrocotyl) Acts as an anti-inflammatory agent reducing inflammation and skin sensitivity as well as tightening skin and increasing skin elasticity. Studies at the Department of Dermatology in Strasbourg indicate it is a strong anti-inflammatory agent, effective in the treatment of wounds, ulcers and lymphatic edema. Hydrocotyl extract is used in Indian Ayurvedic medicine to combat excessively dry skin.
v HORSETAIL EXTRACT (Equisetum Arvense) This herb has a long history as an effective treatment for damaged and wrinkled skin. Used for its astringent, tightening, and firming properties on the skin. It also helps to improve the elasticity of the skin. The herb helps eliminate excess oil from skin.
v EUCALYPTUS LEAF OIL (Eucalyptus Globus) Eucalyptus is known for its antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties. It regenerates, revitalizes, soothes, cools, and stimulates the skin and blood circulation while reducing blemishes and excess oil.
v SEAWEED EXTRACT (Fucus Vesiculosus) Derived from the dried Thallus root of Fucus Vesiculosus, a type of seaweed. It is rich in the same vital nutrients, trace elements and amino acids present in human blood plasma, allowing it to penetrate the skin more thoroughly than most other ingredients. It speeds up the elimination of toxins from cells and is a natural cellular renewal ingredient. It also helps to nourish and remineralize the skin. High in silicon, which is believed to keep the skin from wrinkling and sagging, it is used for its anti-inflammatory and revitalizing properties.
v IVY EXTRACT (Hedera Helix) Ivy is well know for its skin toning, tightening and skin refining properties. Ivy has slimming and anti-cellulite properties, preventing water accumulation in skin tissues. Ivy is also antibacterial and anti-inflammatory to lower tissue sensitivity, activate circulation, and reduce inflammation. Ivy Extract is also currently being studied for its vasoconstrictive properties.
v MENTHOL Derived from mint oils with anti-inflammatory and anti-itching properties to impart a cool, soothing feeling to skin.
v SEAWEED DERIVATIVE Organic derivative of seaweed that binds moisture in the epidermis, thus firming and strengthening the skin. Also known to act as an anti-oxidant to actively prevent the acceleration of premature aging. In vitro studies have shown that Merylsilanol Manurrante normalizes cellular metabolism, is a tissue regenerator and aids in the reduction of cellulite.
v PANTHENOL (Vitamin B5) Penetrating moisturizer that imparts a non-irritant; nonsensitizing, moisturizing, and conditioning feel and promotes normal keratinization and wound healing. Panthenol protects the skin against sunburn and enhances the natural tanning process.
v GUARANA SEED EXTRACT (Paullinia Cupana) Used in cosmetic preparations as an astringent and to stimulate circulation.
v ROSEMARY OIL (Rosmarinus Officinalis) Rosemary has astringent, antiseptic, and invigorating, properties that stimulate the metabolic processes in the skin's dermal layer making it beneficial for hair loss, acne, dermatitis, eczema and other skin disorders. It is also beneficial for firming and toning the skin.

My results of my first wrap. Well I won't be a liar if I don't admit that I was wanting to go from pics above to Janet Jackson overnighthttp://wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif but none the less I am still pleased. I felt the product working right away and still feel te tinglies even now. I don't see a huge difference in the pics but I know it's progressive. I have 4 more wraps to go after allhttp://wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif Ok so here it is:
Weight Before: 156lbs
Weight After 156lbs
Waist Before: 30in
Waist After: 29.5in
Down 1/2 inch (this was surprising as I did not even have the applicator on my waist but lower bellyhttp://wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif
Mid abdomen before: 33.5in
Mid abdomen after: 32inhttp://wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley3.gif
Down 1 1/2inches!
belly button level/love handles/mommy belly/hot mess left behind by children before: 35.5in
belly button level/love handles/mommy belly/hot mess left behind by children before: 34.5inhttp://wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley3.gif
Down 1 inch!
So a total loss of 3 inches my very first wrap and keep in mind that I am on a low carb ketogenic diet. There IS no water weight left on mehttp://wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif
Ok I don't see a huge difference in the pics, very subtle, but I do notice a difference in the feel of my skin.

I don't really see a difference but I'm going to hold back judgment until I do the other wraps. I can't wait to receive my defining gel and my other 4 applicators this week!http://wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif

I started getting them in March I think--at a place in town.
They do work...but I am using it as a supplement to my exercise and clean eating routine.
If you eat right and exercise you will def. see a diff and also be able to keep it off :yep:

I'm pretty happy because this seems to be progressive just like Lipodissolve but a fraction of the cost and a lot safer than lipo though not as immediate.

I went here before. I think I lost of total of 4 or 5 inches. I really don't need it in my stomach area. More so my thighs and I don't think it benefits that area as much as the mid section. Maybe if you keep going often. I only went once.
