OK, so I digging the Tabatas routine. It's 4 hard-core minutes of exercise that burns maximum fat. It was discovered in Japan and what they found is when you push your body to "your" limit for 30 second you burn more fat than the conventional exercises.
The program is set up to go to the limit for 20 seconds then rest for 10 seconds. You repeat this one off routine about 8 rounds. You can fill your routine with almost any kind of exercises. Here are a few I found on YouTube:

Thanks OP for providing us with this information. This tabatas training reminds me of Army style physical fitness training and calisthenics. I am gonna try this doing lunges, running in place, jumping jacks, kettle bell swings, and push-ups.

Only 1!!!!!!! Its all I have strenght for. This is a HIGH Intense Workout!

I am officially addicted to the Tabatas method. After I finish a session, my heartrate is pumping and I feel dizzy.......so I know it is putting the body under a good type of stress. More stress than doing a basic cardio session for 30 - 45 minutes.
Here is another great Tabatas workout that I found on youtube. Try this one out when you get a chance. It smoked my butt!!

My goal is to done one Tabatas session every morning before getting ready for work, and then one again in the evening before going to bed.
I plan to get in as much variety as possible....I am hooked!!

Tabata = 4 min of high intensity
4 minutes consist of 8 rounds
Each round consists of 20 seconds of exercise + 10 seconds of rest = 4 min of exercise
My Plan:
stationary running
mountain climbers
step backs with weights
shadow kickboxing

That Push Up Mountain Climbers is scary! I gonna try it b/c I would love to be able to complete this one! The Squat circuit is just what I need. Thanks mikosbelle!

I just finished the Fit Yummy Mummy Tabatas and I'm telling you that one really gets me! I had it linked up wrong so please click the link for an correct link. That woman is in great shape! I can only do 2 full rounds then after that I'll do exercise 1 with running in place or jumping jacks. whoa!
I also did Tabatas - Squats to get this rear in shape!
And Tabatas - Abs!
OK I just complete a 10 minute full body workout and I am sweating! I rarely ever sweat during a workout. That felt good! Can't wait to build my strenght!

I did a 4 min session this morning. It was great, but after Round 6, I had to break for longer than 10 seconds. :ohwell: I'll work up to it. Gonna do it again tonight.

I've been Googling Tabatas, sounds interesting. I'll have to give it a try. Do you ladies know how many calories you're burning?

I would like to know this as well. I think the calorie burn really comes in after the workout it done b/c its said this exercise will increase your calorie burn for 36 hours.
I have a song I love that's 4:58 I can do this 4 minute hi intensity workout but taking a 10 second break might be the challenge.

I did THREE tabatas rounds last night. First time doing lunges, squats, calf raises with weight, dumbell rows and military press. Then I did another round with all ab exercises then another round with high knees and butt kicks. It was crazy! Today after 30 day shred I did another 4 min round. This time I COULD NOT BREATHE! lol doing another tonight :)
