What Threads Continually Encourage You?

Any "words" spoken on here that you turn back to when you need some encouragement?

In CF? Any thread that offer quiet contemplation and reflection of going deeper into loving God... threads are like a sancuary for the soul..

Cheokee,Blq Rose, usually post threads with articles that biblically based and THAT bring hope,Shimmie's marriage prayer,
are the ones I will read..
..or threads that even open discussion to look closely at one's self with God

I have to say this too..speak my truth...
BUT

It's sad that not every thread in CF is for the building up and edifying of the soul.. and while not every thread may speak to me but at least it should not be destructive but some of the threads are... & tend to pander to a worldly stimulus rather than a deeply introspective spiritual orientation...

When I came to CF...it was like a haven :)....a blessed resource for wisdom
when I had spiritual questions..and it helped healed a lot of wounds..
very very safe and loving here

for me

Certain threads/posters ..I won't even go into the thread...I already know what the content is going to be.....it almost doesn't even matter what the title is.....

the National Enquirer entertainment type threads somehow tacked on to a religious subject...or preacher-attacking..doesn't matter who...Joel Osteen...TDJakes...Joyce Meyers
or the YOU'RE GOING TO DIE & GO TO HELL RIGHT NOW threads
or gratuitious sexually graphic explicit..matter...
threads that seem to me deliberately provocative...deliberately contentious...meant to push buttons ..or are triggering....
rather than offer discussion or quiet contemplation ..or...help...or ..UNITY
What happened to that lovely idea?
the above,however, are more and more currently frequenting CF...
to my heart those are soul draining threads and not of God or of the Sprit or of Jesus.....

I dunno....would Jesus start some of these kinds of threads

Proverbs 31, a woman faith based Christian organization that has a daily blog Encouragemnt for Today ..and those women do cover a range of subjct alcolholism ..rape.....infidelity....unemployment... overwork, responsibly
from a deeply personal Christian but also universal (unity) perspective..
that reaches out and offer bible verses and resources....
that is not the tenor of such threads here...

I know you did'nt ask ..not meaning to hijack...but I could not answer one question about my favorite thread with out looking at examing the reason other threads make it dfficult to have more than a few old favorites...

and it was in my heart to say this..

I think that your point is fair. I do believe that the Spirit is present in this forum through the believers here and that means that this forum can grow and change in more godly directions just as we can. So hopefully we will all continue to grow in the knowledge of God's grace of what is edifying and lovely and true and the threads will reflect that more and more.

.I guess I felt I trusted it could be safe to speak..and I truly appreciate your giving me that space
...I ,too, am looking forward to hear favorite threads that inspire- as it helps me..:)
