I need some advice about this....

When I take pictures with a flash is it suppose to look ashen?

The only thing I have on my face is Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Walnut and then I brushed on my MAC mineralize skinfinish in Dark.

Not sure. Maybe the lighting in the room where you took the picture contributed to the ashen look.

It has SPF 20 in it and that maybe the problem. The zinc oxide in those products tend to give off an ashy look.

Use a light application of natural blush (for your skin tone) around your hairline and re-take the picture. See if that makes a difference in warming up your face. Don't forget to use a light hand and blend.

Thank you ladies, I brushed on a small amount of MAC mineral press powder and it cleared right up.

Also, could it just be the wrong shade?
