Okay I was gonna post this in a seperate thread but since it all started here:lachen:...I thought only fitting to share with you all my feel better friday mini haul!

I mean I have some difficult folks that work for me, and instead of firing them..lol..which sometimes cross my mind I instead decided to go and make myself feel better by buying what...makeup!

So I had called GBNF to order some spiced chocolate quads but when I got to my CCO they had TONS! I mean like atleast 20+ ... I just knew it was GOD's way of making me feel better so I promptly picked up two!!! I might go back and grab a few more for friends! They also had BBR stuff, creamteam stuff, and Dame Edna stuff.

I got:

-2 spiced chocolate quads
-shadowy lady quad
-Tempting Eel quad
-juiced e/s
-deep shade e/s
-plum du bois blush
-gadiola l/s
-powder puff pad for when i'm doing other people's makeup
-183 brush (I went for the 180 but they were all out!! They are supposed to get a new shipment soon and the lady said she has consistently got some so i'll be back!)
-NC44 SPF Tinted moisturizer

Whew...yes I feel much better :grin:...nothing like a little makeup retail therapy!

Sketch is, Amber Lights, Cranberry, and Woodwinked are not like the colors in the quad IMO. The 2 middle-colored browns are like no other colors I have and I have Sketch, Amber Lights, Cranberry and Woodwinked. :yep: I have to admit, Embark IS just like the dark brown in there though and Nanogold in the quad is the same as Motif. The quad is $36 originally. But on ebay, it's going for ATLEAST 79.99... :look:

Yes, if you get it from GBNF, they charge you full retail value for it. BUT if you can get it from the CCO, you get a 30% (I think) discount on it.

I love, love, LOVE this brush. I use MUFE HD foundation. This brush
buffs the foundation into my skin beautifully without compromising
coverage. I have two, one for foundation and one for blush thanks
to GBNF.

This brush is much better than the 187 for application of liquid foundation
in my opinion.

YOu can't go wrong with this brush...

Frostipuff, how do you apply the foundation with this brush? Do you put the foundation onto your skin and just buff away?

I need something like this because I know I'm not blending my HD enough and sometimes it looks cakey.:nono:

Hmmm if you already have sketch, cranberry, woodwinked, embarked, good as gold, amber lights, flare (orangey milani color), do ya need this quad?

Okay, I was checking it out last night and I HAVE FOUND THE EXACT DUPE FOR THE SPICED CHOCOLATE QUAD! I mean EXACT, you will not be able to tell the two quad colors apart.
I came up with:
Nanogold= Motif (but Nanogold is sold in the normal line I think)
Brash= Coppering (Coppering is just a tiny bit more orangy than Brash, but they're almost exact)
Sweet Chestnut= Heritage Rouge pigment (sold on MACpro.com under Richmetal pigments in the multi-purpose section)
Spiced Chocolate= Embark

If you have these colors, you have the Spiced Chocolate quad! :)

Okay, so I wanted to talk about the 180 brush: I :love: it!!!
I used to use tinted moisturizer. I stopped using it because when I applied it (with the Sephora foundation brush) it went on and I was shiny... I guess I had a dewy look. Well, to me, dewy looks sweaty and hot. :ohwell: I had to follow up my TM with translucent powder to take away the shiny look. I felt like that was too much effort, so I only used concealor for a long time because of that.

This morning, I used my 180 brush to apply my TM and OMG!! I FINALLY understand what it is to have an "airbrushed look!" I put 1 dab of TM on my forehead, both cheeks, the tip of my nose and my chin and I buffed it in- BEAUTIFUL!! It's not even shiny!! Not dewy at all and I thought that all TMs gave you that look. I will be wearing my TM again. :) Thank you to ALL the ladies who recommended the 180 brush. This blows the 182 out of the water!

Oh, and for those who want to know about shedding, I had to pick about 5 hairs off of my face but for the finished look, it's well worth the seconds to pick them off!

Question: How often do you ladies wash it? It looks like it takes a long time to dry.
