In all seriousness, however, the places I've lived caused me to grow up not seeing any representations of the characteristics of my "look" that make me a woman of color.

Nothing resembled me, let alone called my attributes beautiful. On the contrary, my environment told me everything about me was the very worst of all that is ugly and undesirable. Even evil.

I've finally decided my Black is beautiful because: I. SAY. IT. IS.

I watched the show yesterday and found it interesting. I feel like my black is beautiful, because no matter what I put it through it has the power to recover, mentally, physically and spiritually.

OT: does anyone know what the makeup artist's name was that gave the tips on the show?
