My derm told me bacne is usually not even acne at all, just some other skin problem related to dry skin. All I had to do was use a good scrub and use those acne pads (like Stridex) every once in a while and the bumps went away. Much easier than getting rid of facial acne. HTH.

On this one, search acne and it will show you the oils etc..

Good thread, thanks ladies!!! I am getting ready to use some prescription fade cream to get rid of my spots. I think exfoliating daily w/ the facial brush from Sallys has been helping to stop new bumps from occuring. I'm going to check into some Medimix soap!

I do not suffer from bacne personally, but on the tv show The Drs. the plastic surgeon suggested buying a loofa back brush and soak it with vinegar and scrub your back in your shower once a day. He stated that bacne is form of bacterial infection.

Good Luck.

For me, exfoliating on a regular basis (I use exfoliating gloves) keeps the breakouts away and improves the look of my skin. I will sometimes use a soap with sulfur in it, but I follow with something moisturizing.

Most acne is thought to be a form of bacterial infection, at least that's what I thought. But sulfur soap seems like something to try. What is ayurveda soap?

Just a soap you can buy in the Indian Stores made from a lot of indian healing herbs. They even sell it at Vitaminshoppe now. That's were i bought my last batch.

What worked for me was using panoxyl bar. It got rid of my bacne and most of my scars. It really works. You have to be careful not to over use it though because it can dry or skin out if you over use it.

I suffered with Backne and my derm told that topical treatments alone will not cure it. I was prescribed DORYX 100MG - I started off taking 2 tablets daily for the first two months, now I'm taking 1 tablet a day. I tell you it has help me out 100%. I haven't had a break out in a very long time and I contribute that to these pills for bacterial infections. Now I'm trying to rid myself of all the dark spots the backne has left. Also make sure you wear sunscreen to prevent any further damage.

I wash my chest, back, & shoulders religiously with Neutrogena Body Clear Body Scrub. It has helped tremendously with keeping those areas clear & fading some of the spots left behind.

I use Desert Essence face wash. The big bottle at vitamin shoppe is under $ 8.00 it has T-tree oil in it which kills bacteria. And a mesh scrubbie thingy. ;)

I'm bumping for more responses!!! But I think some of the hair products I use are affecting my skin. I break out on my shoulder blades and along my hair line...... All the deep conditioners and oils seem to seep down and clog my pores... Idk.. since I've been on my healthy hair care journey my skin has suffered! Not only did the GNC HSN vitamins break me out, but all the products that my hair craves my skin dislikes.....

I used to get this as a teen... I think its important to make sure youre not sweating and not changing your clothes and washing asap, also applying a thin layer of acne gel to the areas you can expect break outs when you know you are going to sweat. Keep your hair and hair products off your bare back. Make sure your back is totally dry b4 getting your clothes on ,or trapped moisture can cause germs. You can try a salycilic acid body wash. For leftover dark spots, use a scrub like St Ives every night, and a NON hydroquinone fading gel or serum , like something with vitamin c every night.... hope at least something i mentioned helps someone

i'm with cichelle on this one. i'm prone to KP (keratosis pilaris - those "chicken skin" bumps you get on the back of your arms.) i noticed them on my back along with some brown scarring. glycolic acid peels have helped a ton on my back - you can do them on your own with 10% glycolic acid pads (which can be bought at stores like sephora.) i've also found regular exfoliation to be hugely helpful!! i have a cactus bristle brush (from the body shop) that i use 2-3/wk and its helped a ton with the kp and with backne. hth
