Hello....

I clicked in for a couple of minutes and I just clicked off.... Sigh....

I should preface my remarks by saying that over the weekend I watched a Nightline special called "Does satan exist" and the panel included Bishop Carlton Pearson.

What I want to say is that one had better have a DIRECT LINE/RELATIONSHIP with the LORD JESUS CHRIST in these days.... Period. Please be able to hear from the Lord for YOURSELF! (general use of the term)

I'm not throwing off on any religious figure/person but I am saying that there are A LOT OF VOICES out in the religious/spiritual marketplace, and they have grown to be even more enticing and seductive and ambiguous and it is so annoying and the lax attitude of the church/body of Christ is making things worse.

never mind -I see this is taking a negative dive-I was really trying to be a blessing. I'd rather you hear for yourself. I'm not into celeverands either but it is pretty obvious that she is on another level after her experience.

I will no longer bump- if it's meant God will lead you there, it's not up to me.

God bless.

My apologies if my post contributed to any negativity. I see that maybe it would have been appropriate to start a separate thread and yet I wanted to keep my statements attached to the subject matter as stated. I wanted to avoid any misunderstandings.

What is celeverands?

Girl say that. I didn't know about Bishop Pearson's change of philosophy until recently and I'm very disturbed - I cannot help but think he is one of the early leaders in the false church to come. Christians have to be doused in the Spirit and the Word to keep their minds and election sure, it is really not a game out here.

I did see Juanita on some christian telethon one night, and she was not the person that I did see who was high minded, every word that came out of her mouth was money, but I saw the Juanita Bynum that all of us grew to love when she first came out when it was not about a dollar sign but holiness, and living right came first. I do believe God had to deal with her spirit and break her all the way down. I do pray for her that she will gain her place back with God rather than her place with people. I believe that God was showing the world something through her situation but alot of people missed it. (Prophet Nathan Simmons), preached a message titled "Don't Stop Seeking God". When you stop seeking God and start seeking for the success and money of the world, you have choose another God. She probably will never admit it but she know exactly why this happened to her. Alot of people can get in a place with God, but they can't stay there. Because when he starts blessing you, you get the big head and start depending on the things he has blessed you with rather than depending on him. These prophets of old was TRUE prophets. Nothing like the world today. They fasted for days on end, prayed constantly to receive a word from God. I have so many tapes of Juanita Bynum, that I cannot count them. And the messages are so touching that I know she was being used by God. But then something happened. I believe he gave her warning after warning to repent, but she didn't. And when everything happened, he brought her to an open shame. You don't see her on TBN, or any of those other shows that be coming on. Rod Parsley used to have her there every year to his dominion campmeeting. I have not see her there. We would nto even here anything about her if she didn't have this website up to do her preaching there. I pray that she will recover all through Jesus Christ and not THINGS! We are all the body of Christ, if one part of the body is going through and suffering, we don't rejoice over it but we run to there rescue and offer a helping hand either by pray, or fasting for that individual in that situation. Because if that one part of the body is not functioning and is sick, God's work is not being done. That is why we lend a helping hand rather than be a back biter. I used to feel terrible towards her and didn't want to hear anything she had to say. But the Lord dealt with me about it and I had to picture myself in her shoes. We really need to pray for her and not talk about her. (Not saying that anyone here was doing that, but just generally speaking). I am very cautious about anyone who comes with that money gigg. That's why the bible say try the spirit by the spirit. God will always prompt you when you should give especially if you are in a place to hear God and knows his voice. And that is what I do, I wait on the leading of the Holy Ghost.

My husband and I watched this last night. Carlton is totally confused and seems to really be letting satan use him. I just kept praying that The Lord would open his eyes to the truth.

He has been hanging tough with a local ministry (used very loosely) in Atlanta. Earl Paulk and the Cathedral in Decatur. Those of you who are from or live in Atlanta have probably heard of him. He passed away and his funeral is Saturday... I am sure Carlton will be there in full effect.

I've always loved Juanity Bynum and my heart breaks for her. I saw her a few weeks ago on one of the satellite networks. She was dressed in the full length white robe, not a fancy suit nor the glitze and glamour; and she doesn't look the same. You can tell that she's been through a hard time and that it's not an easy road she's on. She looks broken in heart and in spirit.

There's always been something about her that I will always respect. I can't tear her down. :nono:

I really appreciate all of your comments. How many of you have been in a place with God, and something happened that cause you not to seek him the way that you used too. Now even though you are still saved, you don't feel God's presences the way you used too? And how many of you are trying to get that intimate relationship back with him?

Firstly, I appreciate your kind words.... Allow me to offer an explanation of my reluctancy/hesitancy to entertaining these types of ministers (or anyone) who is going a major paradigm shift: it comes down to this:

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool my twice, shame on me!

I've been in church my whole life. Have sat under only two pastors since I've been on Planet Earth (my childhood/parents' church and my current church. I've been so blessed to have been covered by two pastors of integrity and because of this, I wasn't drawn to these traveling evangelists who gained exposure and popularity through the rapidly expanding media in the last decade (radio, TV, internet, CDs, etc.)

It's like me going over someone else's house to eat: why do I need to do that when I got good, rich food at home?

Disclaimer: please understand that I am not saying that we should restrict ourselves to one perspective. I am a vigorous reader and critical thinker.

Back to my main point: for me, even the little bit of me that did entertain watching the programs and reading the books and then to see the underbelly and lack of substance behind the work was disappointing.... And yet, even a broken clock is right twice a day... I can take the meat and spit out the bones.

Overall, these situations remind me to ask the Lord to take me back where I first met Him... when it was just Him and me and it was all about what He said to me through the Word of God and what He spoke to my spirit. It means that when I need to hear something, the Lord will order my eyes, and my ears along with my steps.

Peace....

I really see where you were trying to go with this....I don't think it had anything to do with looking at Juanita Bynum (or other leaders)....but for us to examine ourselves :-).

Stop running around in my head girl.

I was never really into her in the first place. But I was really too through when I saw her in her wedding dress carrying a sword at her birthday party or wedding anniversary or some sort of celebration she had.

Seriously, FS, you're scaring me. This is like the 2nd thread you've said things I never thought you'd say. I'm not sure how to react. LOL I mean this good not bad.

I want to know what your thoughts are on the bold above. I honestly don't understand it. This is how I've processed so far: you are critical about church attendance and particularly mega churches. (To me corporate participation or expression means in a group regardless of size).
