I'm on a yellow/green kick and I think she kept this fresh by not carrying the color to the brow bone and skipping the highlighter. It's so well blended *sigh*

and this is why often I'm diversifying my eyeshadow combos. Finish is like color, experiment like the pros. A shimmer in one area, a matte in another and a mid-shimmer in another rather than all shimmer combos everyday. I also like to mix up my shimmers like maybe a mid shimmer in the crease and a high shimmer on the lid or vice versa. I think it looks so dynamic when different parts of the eye reflect light at different degrees. Here for example her lid is matte and her crease shimmery.

Sleek I agree with you on using shimmer sparingly. I think except for exceptions an eye full of shimmer looks dated, or trashy. It looks even worse the older you get.

^^^I've been trying to look into mattes too! I really want to learn how to do a natural eye, almost bridal. The mac lady wasnt do helpful:ohwell:, I have antiqued and emabark, but i think I need a shade very close to my complexion.

Love all these looks. I'm wondering how they manage to put on their eyeliner so nicely and evenly. I always struggle with mine because my eyelashes are too long and get in the way.

It loos like the pencil is easier to handle than the thin brush (although i prefer the look of the thing brush)
It's seriously annoying how my outer lashes get in the way, especially when i try to get that winged/cat eye look.

I think she is wearing highligher (it's labeled) but it's a nice light touch.

I agree it can be "too much" if it's so bright and obvious especially if you don't have a lot of space from lid to brow--it's like sectioning it off needlessly.

How'd it turn out? This look was my favorite one. I'm going to try it tomorrow.
It was beautiful. I had to tone down the vanilla because it was too.......white.:ohwell: (I lightly brushed woodwinked over it) I also couldn't put my finger on orb so I used Naked Lunch as the highlight color.
