I don't know if this supplement has been mentioned here or not, but I've finished up my first bottle and I notice a major improvement in my skin.

Background Info: I've suffered from hormonal acne for years now and I've tried countless cleansers, gels, and even bcp's, antibiotics and Accutane. Some of these helped, but the bottom line is: If my birth control agrees with me, my skin is flawless. If it does not, then my skin looks like a nightmare.

I finished Accutane in Feb. or March of 2008. My skin looked fabulous, but it started breaking out ~October 2008 when my doctor accidentally prescribed the wrong birth control pills. I started getting cysts and by Dec./Jan. I had 2-3 large cysts on each cheek, my chin was a mess, and I developed a strange rash on one side of my face. I stopped the birth control, but my hormones were still out of control and my skin wasn't getting any better. Since I'd been through this before, I knew that once my acne was triggered it could take months to clear up.

I wanted another round of Accutane, but my derm put me on Duac in the a.m. and Taz in the p.m. This caused major irritation, but very minor improvement. The cysts weren't budging.

I came across some great reviews for Murad Pure Skin Supplements and I decided to try them. I had cysts on each cheek and two more coming up. Once I started this it stopped them in their tracks. The developing cysts went right back down and the cysts that were already there started shrinking as well. I was shocked because I knew that as ugly and painful as they were, without these pills they were only going to get bigger, linger for ~a month or more, and then slowly shrink, leaving dark brown marks.

Not this time; all the cysts except for one were gone within two weeks. By the third week, the last cyst (which was putting up a fight) finally went down completely. Now there's a light mark, but it had the potential to be much darker.

Right now I have no pimples, cysts etc. My skin is very smooth. My rash has cleared up, but I'm still experiencing some strange peeling and my skin still itches where the rash was.

I do have to mention that my hormones seem to have balanced out (thanks EPO), so that is definitely working in my favor. But in the past, once I got my hormones under control, my skin would still break out for months. Like I said, once the acne is triggered, it takes a long time for my skin to calm down. I know that the Pure Skin has sped up the healing process for my skin and it wouldn't be clear right now if I had just waited around.

I'm going to continue taking these supplements because my skin is so clear. Pure Skin is worth a try for any ladies suffering from breakouts. I take 4 pills a day, two in the morning and two in the evening as per the instructions. The pills are huge, but it's worth it. A bottle costs about $42, each bottle lasts a month. When reading the reviews, I saw some people mention that they only take two pills a day and they've still seen great results, but I took four because I wanted to get rid of those cysts asap.

I bought the pills at Beauty First, but I've also seen them at Sephora and Ulta.

Thanks for posting. I had started a thread in the OT forum about my horrible skin condition. The medicine that has been prescribe to me over the years has not help, but I think I might give Murad a try.
