Ok, so we always have hair challenges, so I propose a skin care challenge.
KEEP YOUR FINGERS OUT YOUR FACE CHALLENGE!
I am very bad about this, I always touch my face and then I get contact dermatitis. These are the rules:
no picking,
no squeezing,
no touching,
no popping,
no unnecessary touching period.
We would all do so much better if we cut these things out.
Ok so this is what i'm going to do- 1. get a picture of my face when I had breakout (that i know i caused from touching my face) 2. then get a pic of me when I have clear skin. Put both pics in your bathroom, or whereever you would go to mess with your face. This will remind you not to touch your face.
So who's in?

I am in. I will try, but I dont know if i will be able to remember. i will need to get a lip wax first tho. It's funny b/c I was just htinking that we needed a skincare challenge like half an hour ago, but I couldnt think of one. I really want to do smthg to clear up my skin and brighten myself up a bit. I want that glow. This should be a good start.

i think this will definately be a great start b/c the less u touch your face and irritate it, the less dark spots you get from those occasional blemishes. At leadt thats how it works for me.
Yayyyy!!! I am definitely in!! So are we going to commit to : Washing our face day and night, moisturizing, drinking extra water, etc. ??? Let's come up with a routine, too. I love this idea!! This is just what I need to go along with my hair care http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/clap.gif

well everyone has a different skin care regimen to go with their skin type; so thats not really my goal for this challenge. But here is my routine:
morning: wash w/ Mario Badesu Glycolic foaming cleanser, use Mary Kay Clarifying Toner, moisturize with Vicco Turmeric cream. At night : Wash with L'oreal Clarifying cleansing clothe, use Mary Kay toner, Differen Gel and Vicco turmeric cream.
I use Avon 2 step glycolic peel as directed (every other day)
i take the vitamins in my signature and I try to drink 5-7 glasses of water each day (thats the most I need is 7 for my weight and activity level, i checked it out on one of the bottled water website)
My biggest challenge is keeping my hands out of my face.
BYT I have sentitive skin w/ oily T-zone and I get mild break out when I get my period, and i do have some reddish/ brown spots

I'm in I definetly need to be on this challenge. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/ohwell.gif
Amen to that !!
I know I shouldn't pick at my face, especially now that I'm on Accutane (permanent scars risk...) but I JUST CAN'T HELP IT !!!
Count me in ! I know I can do it !!

Count me in!
I really need to start doing this. Especially being a medical student (ha, I'm still in h.s but I'm claiming it!) we learn a lot about that in medical class. We touch so much from door knobs, sink knobs, desk, chairs, and God only knows the germs on Public Transportation and THEN have the audacity to rest our hands on our face. Ewwwww! I think this is going to be hard for me because I do it without realizing it, though http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/ohwell.gif it's worth a try!
..aint this some b/s! My face never itches and now it's itching all over lol It's just my mind http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/nono.gif

I don't have any exsisting skin issues, but I definitely want to be in the challenge as well. My problem is I don't drink enough water and fail to use moisturize everyday. Don't neglect exfoliating. It is one of the best things you can do for you skin.

I'm in. In addition to everything MsKibibi listed, I also need to stop scratching my face. It's a habit, I scratch my face and scalp, even when they don't itch.

Count me in. I have stopped picking and I am working on the H2O intake. I am back on the Glycolic/Copper Peptide combo for scars so hopefully by December some of these post-acne scars will gone. I am committed to sticking to my regime this time.
