We have this perky little Dominican girl teaching the class. I think I hate her.

It took this class for me to realize that I can't really dance. I always thought I was pretty good, but trying to move like her, I just can't do it. I feel sad. :sad: Does this mean I'm old? Can I get that little extra "umphf" back?

Did anybody learn to dance when they were older? Not just learn the steps, but the extra little pizazz?

Girl, I will be on "So You Think You Can Dance?" someday at some old age, even if I might have to be taken out of there on a stretcher. As soon as I can figure out why I couldn't spin on my head during Breakdance era. Believe it or not, that was the one dance that stumped me...otherwise I fancied myself able to pick anything up and perfect it. But I refuse to allow doubt into my life. I'ma be Eartha Kitts in my old age. Watch me do a standing split as I purr "Marcus dahling"

Don't give up Sunshine. I'ma need company when I'm making a fool of myself at the nursing home.

Hang in there. I felt the same way in my first few Zumba classes. I've been teaching for two years now. Remember...everybody moves differently...and I am not the best dancer.

OK! So I never have actually seen a Zumba class, but I Youtubed it and found this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vf0q6qtThF4

Then I saw other forms that look stiff and very YT. :nono: Me-no-likey! Now the Zumba with a touch of Salsa... *swoons* I'm all over that!

I plan on doing that Youtube link during my lunch break. :yep:

My mom (she's 48) goes to a Zumba class. She's Puerto Rican & knows how to dance different styles... hell, she can still bust a move better than girls my age!! XD But even she had problems with the class level she's at. She comes home drenched in sweat! o_O;

I want to try it but my gym doesn't offer it ):<

I love the dude in the jeans and the hat:lachen::lachen::lachen:

I loooooove Zumba! I'd love to take a class but for now until I reduce the number of children in my care via college or takin' 'em out if they start trippin':lol: I'm gonna stick to the home workout version. It is soooo fun! I burn a ton of calories and don't even feel like I'm working out. It's a nice contrast to ChaLEAN and gives me a good balance in my regimen:yep: Matter fact I'm about to Zumba right now!

ETA: I just realized that's Tanya from the videos in that clip! If ya'll have the bonus videos (the ones in Spanish and English) that Italian chick's (the Brunette on the left of the screen) body is SICK!:eek:
