I know you can't spot reduce but I was wondering if anyone knew how to reduce the amount of muscle in calves? There is like no fat on them they're straight rocks:lachen:In the Army my nick name was "fat calves" because here I was a skinny size 4 with these big ole' thangs! I was thinking pilates.....
I have no idea, I have big legs too. I learnt to love em! I bet your man doesn't complain.

When you find out post it----I used to get teased for having calves like "Popeye"---you know how in the cartoon he would eat a can of spinach and his biceps and calves would bulge out?! Yeah, you get the idea......I have run into several men who compliment my calves.

LOL . I'm just the opposite. Size 12 (working on size 8) with slender toned calves. They are sort of like Tyra's.
I have no idea how you would reduce them if they are already muscle.
Have the always been like that? If so, I think your stuck.

I look like a superhero if I am wearing boots! That's assuming, of course, I can actually zip them up! My calves are bigger than my father's and he was a professional athlete.
I hear you K on the boots. I wish I COULD wear some boots.
When I gain weight it goes to my legs and stomache first. However my legs are shapely and attracts loads of men! One man told me he'd be offended if I ever wore a garment that covered up my legs.

If you can give me some your calf muscles then we would have a deal...I am willing to part with some butt meat. I wish my calfs were a little bigger.

Add me to the list of people with big calves. I use to hate them because they were just big. I remember folks use to ask me if I ran track. :perplexed I still lightweight hate them because of the whole knee high boots thing. I'd have to take them to a shoe repair shop and get elastic put in the boots so that they stretch :(

Aww man, I wish! I think large calves are so sexy on women. Mine are in proportion I guess, but I have wanted large, shapely calves for as long as I can remember! Sigh..
I came in here thinking it was gonna be a how-to. Lol

I suggest Pilates and leg work with bands. I have big calves and Pilates just melted the inches away.

I can relate, I have learned to love my calves. my boot and even shoe choices are limited IMO because of my muscular calves.
I do notice that when I lose weight I do tend to lose a few inches but even at my tiniest I still had muscular calves...I have only gotten compliments on them though :)

I have naturally big calves, when I wear shorts or a dress that shows them off folks that know me are shocked because I'm really small on top but have heavy thighs and calves. I've learned to love them, women who don't have them wish they did. I guess we always want what we don't have.

Mine are big too...but I get lots of compliments on them. I think we ladies are just too critical of ourselves. I put these bad boys out any chance I get now!

I have large calves too, and it's rare that i can find knee boots to fit. I don't think there's anything we can do about them, but everyone loves them

I've always loved my calves. They were not too muscular or too flabby. Just right. But that was when I was working (because I wore heels often). If I stand on my tippy toe, they'll look more toned.
K, do you wear heels often? Wearing them strengthens your calf muscles. If you stop wearing them as much, that may decrease the size of the muscles.
It could also be the way you're built. I'm sure they look great. I found high boots that fit me, but they have some stretch to them.
