How's the Eye Candy at Your Gym?

Do hot men at the gym motivate you? Do you feel self-conscious around them or does the rush from working out give you more confidence?

I go to the Y and when I go early in the morning I'm surrounded by freakishly fit old white men who are courteous or just ignore me. In the evenings after work and on Saturdays there's a ton of black men (hot ones galore :lick:) around playing ball, lifting weights, etc. A good amount of them acknowledge me - make eye contact, speak, etc. They always seem glad when I smile or speak first... That makes me feel good - though I think that has a lot to do with the fact that there's not a lot of black women there at any one time and a lot of the women in general stick to the women only section. Ah well, more for me to look at :drunk:. A lot of the non-black men are lookin good too... It's a nice boost that some of the men seem to like my body, since I'm often too hard on myself because of the extra lbs I've let myself gain.

They gym is the place I have the highest comfortable level speaking to people I don't know (men and women), something about all that sweatin' breaks the ice I think.

There's a ton of fine Black bros at my gym!! I steer clear of them. This is one of the places I go to in which I turn into a total shy person. They are ripped and seem to be in competition with each other. There's always a few of them in there infact I bet that most of the workers are fine black men.

There are some cuties in the gym along with the ooglies. I get tunnel vision though and purposely avoid all eye contact. There's this Latin dude who i think is so cute, and the other day he got on the treadmill right next to mine when there were several other free ones. What did I do? Continue staring at my reflection in the Tv screen, I'm such a punk.

There is some hotness at my gym but to be honest when I'm all sweaty in gym clothes I feel anything but hot so I just leave them to it. I nearly fell off the treadmill the otherday when David Beckhams older finer brother took off his top though, the shaaaame!

I hate to make eye contact with any of them and not because I am married. More because of the fact that I go first thing in the morning and haven't brushed my teeth or put deodorant on. I sleep with my gym clothes on sometimes, so you know I roll out of bed and into the gym. :lachen:

:lachen: That's a shame.. the Y I go to is very laid back and homey looking, so the people who want to go overboard dressin and flexin for each other tend to go elsewhere.

I know what you mean, I used to wear baggy t-shirts and all but like anything else in life I realized I enjoyed working out more when I looked kinda cute doing it. I went and racked up on cheap yoga pants and tanks/tees and I feel more confident and at home at the gym now.

Girl stop ... aint nothin wrong with a smile and a hello, don't put so much thought into it, he's just a man and acknowledgement makes them feel good... you know 10 white girls done cheesed all in his face by that point (lemme stop :lachen:). I figure the gym is one of the few places people don't outright reject each other because you'll probably see that person again; so it's a great place to practice your confidence game with men :drunk:

I wish there were eye candy! I'm at the Y during the day with the seniors! Good-looking men would be such motivation. I'd probably be more consistent, instead of falling off after working out good for a whole week! :wallbash:

DFL @ "eye boogers". omg lol. The ones at a gym I went to were HAWT, especially the b-ball players *fans self*. One even winked and flirted with me at the smoothie ship next door. :wink2:Made me actually want to continue working out. lol. Next year, I will be hitting the university gym every morning! lol.
