I have been very sick for 2 months.
Flu like, extreme nausea, fatigue, faintness, weak. I thought it was diabetes and had even started a thread when i first got sick
http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=314489&highlight=
I did go to the doctor and had extensive bloodwork testing which everything came back normal.
but yet there were days i couldn't get out of bed because i was feeling so sick.
The only time i started to feel better was a week ago..i I went to health store bought some goldenseal root extract and yogi detox tea.
So i drink 2 cups of detox tea with 2 bags in each and drink down 30 drops of goldenseal in a littl e bit of water which is disgusting btw!
I woke up around 4am w/ the worse pains in my life..thought i was gonna pass out. i was screaming. sat on toilet but nothing. nex thing my mouth opened and everything in world came out, then diarrhea, then vomiting back and forth for 2 hours. i limped to bed.
surprisingly i felt better the next day..better then i had in such a long time.
since then i still been a lil sick every other day. good days/bad days.
what the heck is wrong with me?
I know i don't eat right, i have a bowel movement maybe once/twice a month.
Salt cravings on the regular so i eat a lot of pickles/ drink pickle juice and tomatoes with salt.
I don't exercise, I don't take vitamins(make me nauseus)..i don't do anything!!
I want to change my entire diet/exercise regimen. I just want to be and feel heathy...but i don't want to lose any weight!
I really need to detox or do some kind of cleansing but i really can't afford to lose weight but i need to get healthy!!!
I've already started buying some detox books and searched thru the threads.
Please ladies any suggestions/tips would be sooo appreciated!!
Thank u so much

I remember reading some time ago that you was taking something to gain weight. Are you still taking it?

I would go to a nutrionist to get suggestions.

Yes, go to a nutritionist. You have to have a bowel movement every day...just ask DLewis :D

I think you need help with a good eating plan - I know you want to gain weight, but first you need to get healthy. I remember reading about your eating habits in other threads... :) I'm not an expert, but I feel that most of your troubles right now are from bad eating habits.

Once your eating is right, you can start some moderate exercise. Exercise really helps with getting regular.

I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. Please go to a professional for some help with an eating plan. :bighug:

I agree with the nutrionist and I would also suggest possibly seeing another Dr. for a second opinion if you keep feeling ill...

If you were my sister, I would tell you to have a consult with the herbalist at Dherbs.

He can give you something to follow that will help.

*That is my advice*

You sound as if you have a parasite or infection or something.

Maybe you should consider seeing a wholistic doctor. One or two bowel movement a month is really not good.

sounds like you've gotten some good advice so far. I just hope you get to feeling better soon. I agree that once you get to eating healthy foods and having regular BM you may feel a lot better just off that. When you don't have one regularly, your body reabsorbs what is just sitting in your intestine. If your intestine is impacted, then no amount of supplements is going to be as effective because it wont be able to be absorbed properly. Keep us posted.

"You are what you eat" is 100% true. Pickle juice? I smile when I read it, but at the same time I'm sure you know that it's just not healthy. Why not some lime water instead if you love sour stuff? I drink water with lime all day long. Lime is a natural disinfectant and cleanses your body from the inside and out.

If you can't take vitamins, please eat 500 grams of fruit and vegetables daily. (Fruit and lime might be too hard on your stomach right now though, since you aren't feeling well. )

Honestly, if I were you I wouldn't detox. It sounds like your whole system is strained and I think you should be feeling better before you detox. I would start eating cooked rice and steamed fish, broccoli and soups with not so many spices for a while. I think your intestines are a little hurt by the pickle juice and stuff... Eat food for sensitive stomachs, that's my advice.

I hope some of our health gurus can come in here with some more advice. :Rose:

I hope you feel better soon, Sylver2. I agree with all the suggestions so far, and like flowerhair said, first you need to get healthy, then you can worry about your weight. But you need well balanced meals and exercise. At least a 30 min walk a day. And yes, eating poorly can wreak all kinds of havoc. I was starting to have hypoglycemic symptoms due to my poor eating habits, and that will wipe you out for days, months if it gets really bad. I went to the doctor and he said I didn't have hypoglycemia, so I had to start doing research on my own. Western doctors don't know everything, and often times fail at doing preventative work. So I would definitely get a second opinion from a wholistic doctor like others have mentioned.

I wish you the best.

I have nothing to add. The ladies have given some good advice.

I just wanted to mention that I hope you feel better soon. I can't even imagine what you've been going through.

I have the same issue and try herbal alternative but in the end its not a solution. My next step is to go get tested for food allergy. This will tell me what best for me and what not. You might want to try this or at least think about it.

There you go dlewis! I been waiting for you. You're the Queen of Poop! :giggle:

Hey hon! It does sound like you could have parasites. You should to do a cleanse. I learned from a health class a while back that the human body is suppose to eliminate after each meal (ideally three times a day). I only go once...sometimes twice a day. But once a month...that sounds dangerous:nono: All that you've eaten needs to come out. And if it doesn't the body will defintely let you know. Lately I've been taking psyllium husk (mixing a table spoon with water...this cleanses the intestional walls upon elimination) and cascara sagrada (I take the cs maybe a couple times a month) Even though cascara sagrada is a natural laxative...I still don't want my body to become used to taking it. Regular colonics can help too...like once a month. But in the mean time....please try to add more ruffage to your diet...more leafy greens and juicy fruits.

Like a couple of the other ladies mentioned, please seek the advice of an herbalist before you try any methods though. I do hope you get well soon.
