Has anyone had any problems with this line?
My face recently starting breaking out after using the African Black soap by madina, and the palmers coco butter I appled afterwards.
Here are the symptoms I face: During the day my face has dry patches, and itches like crazy, so I stopped using the black soap and went back to my apricot scrub, but there was still dry patches and a lil irration, so I switched to the neutrogena soap, problem solved, so I went to the neutrogena site and they did an evalution, and gave me advice on what I should use.
But I dont know if I want to try these out, because I thought neutrogena was for "others" skin (others = white people).
Here are the products they suggested to use twice a day:
Cleansers - Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Cleanser, AND Alcohol-Free Toner
Mositurizers - Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Cream AND Moisture For Sensitive Skin
If anyone has had ANY good / bad problems with Neutrogena, please state experiences.
If you can suggest anything else please share!

Neutrogena is the best. Trust me it is not for "others" skin. Do you break out when you are not putting cocoa butter on your face?

I have one Neutrogena product in my skin care product stash (Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sun Block SPF 45). In the past, I've used other Neutrogena products with no problems. I don't think Neutrogena is just for white skin.

Burning and itching does sound like sensitive skin. And Neutrogena products are alright.

That is the thing, I cant really tell it just started, and before coco butter was doing just good, but I got to thinking that my face does get really oily, because of the heat, sweat, etc.
I dont really know, so I am goin to get these products and see how they work!
I love neutrogena products..I personally have had great success with it. My favorites are the Anti-wrinkle Anti-Blemish Cream, Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask and the Oil Free Acne Wash 60 Second Mask Scrub. Great products for all types of skin. One thing I have noticed and some friends of mine as well is that the anti wrinkle anti blemish cream helps with clearing up some dark marks on the face. Definitely got my skin back on track http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Girl please stop using that Palmers cocoa butter! Pronto! It seemed to help my face at first but then I started to have all these breakouts. Palmers has major pore clogging ingredients (wax, petroleum, and mineral oil http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/nono.gif) I had blackheads for days when I used this product for a prolonged period of time. After I stopped using this, my breakouts reduced BIG time.

BTW only lather once with neutrogena face wash. It has AHA in it and can casue irritation and major dryness, which of course can lead to more breakouts. I use Neutogena foaming face wash when it is close to my period or if I am breaking out. For the most part Neutogena does the trick http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I would also recomeend to lay off the scrub for awhile, until your face clears up a bit. Scrubbing and exfoliating may aggravate it (well in my expeience it has) HTH!

Right that is why I was asking her if she breaks out because Palmers is not meant for the face. If her skin is sensitive I would use N. products but not those since the anti wrinkle and anti acne ingredients can be irritating.

AHA?
Also, if not the products they suggested, then what? I mean it was an evalution with a series of questions, and it did ask about irration, so I am confused!
Neutrogena does have a new sensitive skin line for oily, dry, normal and combination skin. You might want to start there and then if necessary just add one product that has AHA in it for the sake of exfoliation. If your skin is sensitive, too many AHA(alpha hydroxy acids)at one time could further aggravate the problem.
On a side note, not all black soaps are created equal. I could be wrong but I don't think that Nadina makes an authentic black soap. So that could also be the culprit. I used a sub-par black soap once and my skin literally burned for 2 weeks. It was dry and patchy and everything I used on it hurt.

I use the Neutrogena Deep Clean face wash and love it, as well as the toner for sensitive skin and the Healthy Skin lotion. (not the anti-wrinkle cream). I have been using the first and third product for years and it keeps my normal-to-oily skin in check.
Just looking for something to fade the old acne scars.
