Hello People. I was wondering has anyone ever tried this black soap before? I love my Mandinah (sp) black soap for it has done wonders for my breakouts, but I am in deserate need of an exfoliator to clean out my pores and shrink them not to mention lift up the dead layer of skin to help clear up my dark spots from acne scaring. I have been consistent with the cleansing and coco butter and Vitamin E oil for a couple of months, but it seems as if the exfoliating is what I'm missing and I am just loving that black soap for my break outs at least. The only thing that scares me about the ingrediant list is the SALT especially how black soap can be drying in its self already!!!!!
Here's what it says about it:
SheaMoisture's combination of African Black Soap with 100% Shea Butter delivers a deep cleansing experience that exfoliates dead skin cells to reveal radiant, clean, fresh & healthy skin. For centuries, Africans have used Black Soap to relieve acne, oily skin and various other skin ailments. This is a deep cleansing exfoliant, but it is gentle enough to use on your face and entire body.To restore moisture balance and shine after this thorough cleansing, use SheaMoisture Lotion or 100% Shea Butter.
The soap is very rich. You only need to use a little at a time. A drop smaller than a pea in your palm mixed with a little water is all it takes. The soap has the same wonderful smell as the Shea Butter Shampoo and Conditioner. If you haven't been using an exfoliant, when you first begin to use this product you may notice some flaking. This is the exfoliant doing its work. After a few days (once the dead skin has been removed), this should stop and your skin will have a new, healthy glow.
Deionized Water, Black Soap, Shea Butter, Jojoba, Salt, Monateric, Cab-LC, Vitamin E
In addition to the revies on the Shea moisture black soap, any suggestion on remedies for a natural recipe or good over the counter with natural ingredients for:
- Pore minimizing
- scar healing
- reducing facial hair
- facial toner/astringent
Thanks in advance people.
