Bare Minerals

Hey Ladies--
I was just wondering if anyone here uses or has used bare minerals and if so how did it work for you? I would need either the dark or brown shade and Im thinking about buying the starter set but wanted to hear some opinions from other sisters of color first.

I tried it....I looked like I was ready for B2 (that's the obituary section in my local paper). I even went back to the Bare Minerals store recently cuz they claim they got a new shade, still no cigar.

I use Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals in Warmth and I like it so far. Here's a link. You can try it for next to nothing if this dark shade works for you.

Hey, I wear and LOVE BE, I wear Warm Tan and I am a medium color girl. If there is a boutique near by go and have them find your shade. It doesn't work for everyone, but it's the only foundation I'll ever wear.

this was the first makeup i ever bought, and i loved it till i realized people weren't asking me if i was wearing makeup because my skin looked so flawless but because it was totally the wrong shade and i looked like death warmed over. i used mineral veil after that over my liquid foundation but it makes me look ashy. i'd say there are other alternatives for much less that do the same thing as well, such as everyday minerals.

BE is good if you can find a shade to match you. You have to be careful with the application. If you put too much on you end up looking like a disco ball ball.

The only mineral makeup that I could find a good match for my skin (chocolate brown) was Prescriptives, but it's more $$ than BE.

I use it and I love it. I've tried different shades of foundation and the medium tan is what works best for me. You have to get the primer too though, apparently it helps the foundation set without clogging your pores.
I compared my pictures before and after, and I was so surprised to see how tired I looked on a daily basis and BE gives you that natural glow.

It's a bit pricey but def worth it.
