Do you ladies take fiber pills, use metamucil or psyllium husks poweder in your drinks daily. I'm thinking of adding this into my diet daily. I'm not sure. Any suggestions or tips.

I used to, but I felt more constipated when I did.

Fiber One cereal is a great source of fiber. I also add flax to my morning shakes and I supplement with aloe. Aloe has been one of the best things to ever happen to me.

Dr. Natura makes a great fiber supplement in the powder form.

I used Metamucil in the past and it made me bloated and more constipated.

I'm curious about this as well: pills or powder. I'm currently using the GNC Superfiber powder, but pills are easier for travel.

I want to try psyllium fiber. GNC has it tablet form and powder form. Either way, I know you are supposed to drink a ton of extra water with them.

I'll have to check out dr. natura. I take psyllium husks powder with my juice every now and then.

Must drink enough water with fiber otherwise you can feel clogged.

I love fiber because it does so much. I have fiber tabs, metamucil and protien fiber drink. I rotate them and take fiber tablets after meals esepcially after meals high in fat since fiber absorbs fat very nicelly.

I think i used (ran out) Fiber One. Um, its in a blue container with a snap top. Anywhoo, I would mix it in with my smoothies and oatmeal. I couldn't taste it.

I take metamucil (Dr.'s orders) I find that as long as I keep my water intake high, I don't have problems feeling bloated. I usually mix it in my protein shakes after I workout. I use the sugar free orange flavor and it makes things taste pretty good and it's not chalky either.

I use Heather's Tummy Fiber and have for almost a year now. I love it! Doesn't make me gassy or bloated, is flavorless and can be mixed with anything. Doesn't thicken or anything. I used to hate taking fiber until I found her:yep: http://www.helpforibs.com/shop/suplmts/acacia.asp

Yes, the key to upping your fiber intake is drinking water. If you don't drink at least 8 glasses, you will feel constipated and bloated.

I recently did 3 months of the Dr. Natura fiber and it was great! I now take GNC psyllium husk powder. I mix 1 tablespoon with vanilla or chocolate soy milk in a blender and drink before bed. It's all good in the morning, LOL.

Taking the psyllium husk as my fiber supplement has helped me control my hypertension and lower my cholesterol.

I use Benefiber or Fibersure. They don't bulk up like Metamucil and other psyllium products, so there's no hurry to consume it. And they have no taste so I mix them in everything, mostly in my grapefruit juice, green tea, and oatmeal. Fibersure is 5 grams of soluble fiber and Benefiber is 3 grams. I prefer Fibersure because the maximum 3 daily servings gives me 15 grams per day vs. Benefibers 9 grams. But I can get a huge jar of Benefiber from Sam's Club so I always have it on hand for when I run out of Fibersure.

I used to eat the Metamucil Fiber wafers:

They taste OK, but I didn't like the way they smelled :ohwell:, so they're in the cabinet.

But Fiber One makes some great yogurt, and Activia has a yogurt with added fiber.
