I have recently been thinking about getting my eyebrows threaded. Has anyone tried getting them done? What was your experience versus plunking, waxing, or using an eyebrow shaver?

i use to always pluck it myself....but then i got it threaded and kept going back. i like it. it can hurt sometimes. my eyes will tear up...but u get used to it. i always hated waxing. not due to the pain...but b.c. how easy it is to make a mistake.

I love the look of threading. It's very precise. It's not pain free though. I get it done every 4-6 weeks. The upper and side lip are !!ouch!! But it looks good for a long time, much longer than plucking.

I used to get them waxed now i go and get them threaded. Its more precise and just on point. This time i got my upper lip done. That was alot of pain though. So i think i'll stick to my eyebrows.

I love getting my eyebrows threaded because they are so precise and professional looking. I used to pluck before threading so threading is not as painful to me. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for several years now and I LURVE it !

I get mine threaded... every 2.5 weeks.. my eyebrows have stayed thick from doing this I believe. I also like the way the hair stays away longer with threading instead of waxing. I go as frequently because I hate ng on my brows.. lol.. I like to keep them looking flawless..unless I'm growing them out for a different shape. Indian people in my neck of the woods do it and they fabulous!! It's only 6 as well..

I've being getting my eyebrows threaded for a couple of years now - I'm going tomorrow in fact - and I absolutely love it. The finish is clear and precise as other ladies have said. My eyebrows do not grow in the same shape, and my threader/esthetician is a true artist who does such an excellent job, you'd think my borws not only grew the same shape, but grow in the same perfect shape.

Wow, well, im convinced about threading now...lol. I love the precise look that I get when I get them shaved, but it doesn't last long at all. (only a few days) Now all I need to do is find a place that does threading now...the only thing standing in my way is the pain factor...im such a cry baby whenever my friend tries to pluck my eyebrows...lol. Is there anything I can do that would help lessen the pain?

I get mine threaded every two weeks and I love it! No bumps and no irritated skin!

I personally only let Indian women do mine!

An Indian suitemate introduced me to threading about 4 years ago, and it has been the only way I have my eyebrows done since then. Like many ladies have already said, the shape is so precise and clean, the results last longer than tweezing or waxing, and it doesn't hurt as much as waxing (for me at least). I get it done every 3 weeks and am complimented all the time. I would highly recommend it if you can find a salon.

I get mine done every 2 or 3 weeks. I love it. My brows look so groomed.

Yes, it hurts. But if you can take waxing or plucking, you can threading. Just suck it up and do it. It's worth the lil pain. :)

I agree you have to woman up and just go for it. I think the first time you go it hurts a lot - breathe, breathe, breathe - and focusing on your breathing can help. When you go back in a couple of weeks - don't wait too long - it won't hurt as much, and you'll find that if you go consistently, over time the pain is not as bad.

I don't think it hurts as much as shaving. It's a snapping feeling against the skin. The first time is definitely uncomfortable, but it doesn't even bother me now.

Op, an aspirin or cup of chamomile tea should ease the discomfort a bit.

I love eyebrow threading. It's so precise. I think it's much better than waxing.

I inquired about this from my old stylist when I saw something about it on t.v. and she looked at me like  when I was describing it.

I have been looking for someone to do it for me forever and I ran up on an Indian salon in the mall last week. I am going today to get mine done. I told my friend about it and she got hers done yesterday and they look flawless.

I have gotten mine waxed, and I pluck them to maintain the shape so I can't imagine it much more pain than that...

I used to do the tweezing, I gave that up five years ago and never look back. At first the threading was a bit annoying but I got use to it, I couldnot stand the pull of the wax when they rip it off, my mom told me after years of that pulling, your skin starts to sag around that area. Threading defines the shape more, I have strangers coming up to me telling me my eyebrows are nice.
