Eye Makeup Brand Competition

What's your favorite brand of eye makeup and why? Does the color come out the same as advertised? Does it go on smooth? Lasts all day?

We always hear about MAC,Bobbi Brown and the likes, but I know there has to be others just as good and maybe even less expensive.

I have recently become a major L'Oreal addict. Nearly everything that I use on my eyes is from L'Oreal.

I really like L'Oreal HIP eye shadows. The color is intense and there's a pretty good selection of shimmery and matte colors. The shimmery ones are nice for going out or special events.

I have also tried L'Oreal HIP cream shadow. There is no color variety (all neautral), but it stays put and works as a great base to other shadows. I used to use it across my lid up to the crease, then use a darker shadow in the crease. That worked very well, but I'm not big on cream shadows.

Lastly, I love love love L'Oreal Infalible Long Wear eyeliner. I wear eyeliner almost everyday and have been for years. This is one of the few eyeliners that has intense color and stays put throughout the day. If you're into eyeliner, you'll love this one.

On the cheap, I have to give Kudos to L'oreal Hip....the whole line. And another that packs a punch on the cheap is NYX. Don't confuse it with NYC, but NYX. Here is their website, www.nyxcosmetics.com

NARS is my current fave because of the pigmentation, smoothness and lasting power. I don't need primer for NARS shadows. Downside: they are pricey :ohwell:

L'Oreal Hip- vibrant and pretty
Revlon Cream Shadows- you can use them as a base (just like MAC paintpot) or as a shadow alone
Covergirl single shadows- vibrant and pretty
Mary Kay- they don't have bright, vibrant colors- but the colors they offer are VERY pigmented and goes on silky.
Milani- some of the shadows are too shimmery, but the ones that aren't really does dupe MAC colors perfectly
NYX- Vibrant and pretty

Any shadow you use will last as long as you have a good primer. My fave is UDPP.

I love MAC shadows, L'Oreal HIP shadows are very similiar great for less $$. NYX is also good.
Revlon makes great eyeliners, I'm fond of their Luxurious Color and Colorstay liners.
For mascara, L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black is awesome, I've used it for a while.

Stila smudge pots are the best gel liner I have ever tried. They stay on forever and come out really vibrant
