aaight ya'll. I haven't worked out in a while so i just started up this week. The problem is, I must have overdid it in class b/c my triceps feel so soooorrrreee and tight, i feel if i stretch it out, something is going to pop (thick of stretching out a rubberband, don't u back away from it when it looks like it's about to snap? that's what my arms feel like). Initially, I was not going to take another class 2day (i rested said muscle for 48 hours) BUT of course i did, and i used the same weights 3lbs. and although it didn't hurt, it still feels kind of suspect. What do you think i should do to alleviate this? Should i continue using the 3lbs weights or go lower for about a week?
Right now as i type this i feel a good burn (like after u do crunches).
(This morning, i couldn't even put my hair up in a high bun, if my 3 year old knew how to do hair, i would have called her in the room with me http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif )

I know they probably hurt, but stretching is the best thing for them. It actually helps them to recover faster. It is better to stretch after each exercise so the lactic acid won't build up. Also doing cardio after strength helps with remvoing the lactic acid. You might want to also try only working out 2 times per week with 48 hours of rest in between. Just do your exercises a little slower and make sure you are really using control on the way up and down. If you are consistent, you should actually feel and see results in about 2 weeks. Take care and GOD BLESS!!! Queneesha
P.S. Your daughter is so pretty, I know she is a handful!!!

Grrl, I thought that I'd be fine, because of all of my "natural cushion". I was so wrong http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Girl I understand. Just make sure you stretch after each exercise and maybe do like 30 secs of jumping jacks or running in place after each set and that should help also. Girl I have 3 girls so you know I know how you feel. Keep us updated on your progress. Do you measure to see how everything is going? I can pm you some stretches for the different muscles if you'd like. As you can tell I am a bit of a fitness freak!!! Take care Queneesha

hehehehehe your tricep is burning! That's what you get for always buying work-out equipment and never using it. Well I'm glad your working out! I went on a rampage one day when I was working on my legs and I was sore for over a week. The trainer at the gym told me to stop working out until I feel better because you can aggravate your muscle more. So chill on the weights for now on your arms until it feels better.
