I had to share this will my lovely ladies of LHCF because I was so excited this morning when I was able to score a pair of brand new Bvlgari sunglasses for less than 50% retail!!! Here is how I did it :
I went to my local Bloomies to try on some sunglasses. I've been in the market for a new pair for about a year now and had been trying to find something I loved for the right price. My old Chanel sunglasses (which I love) had a close encounter with a nail file inside my purse and got all scratched up. Any way, I got $100 worth of coupons in the mail and a $100 gift card from my Amex points and headed out to the store. I got the glasses and came home.
When I got home and opened my email, I realized that Bloomies was offering a 40% discount on purchase of more than $400 (the glasses cost $430), so after doing the math, I realized it was going to be $70+ cheaper to buy the glasses online. Needless to say, I got my hubby to stop at Bloomies earlier this morning and he got the manager to give him the online price, so including taxes, the glasses that were originally $430 ended up costing $189!!! :grin::grin::grin::grin:
Since this is my xmas present to myself and my only major splurge of the entire year 2008, I think I did pretty well.
