Sometimes I do! I usually have a protein shake or a fruit smoothie after I workout.

that's what I need to start doing. After every workout I want junk...cake, cookies, chips. Last week after a workout, I ate a big ole plate of pasta. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/perplexed.gif

Try some frozen yogurt, protein shakes, or sherbert (sp). When I make cakes I use egg beaters or egg whites, and yogurt instead of oil, it definitely cuts back the fat. I usually don't add frosting because its too sweet for me. You could try making your own frosting with Slenda (sweetener), I haven't tried it yet, thats a good way to cut calories. Or you could make cookies using slenda or some other artificial sweetener, to cut calories. That way you can have sweets after a workout and not feel bad about it. Absolutely, your body needs carbs more so after a workout than anything. Thats because they help to replenish your blood sugar levels. There was a report that came out recently that talked about that the meal you eat directly after working out ultimately decides your weightloss fate. They found that people that ate a meal that included carbs after working out loss weight faster that's because your muscles recover faster. Muscles burn more calories than fat. Just don't go overboard. Here is a sample of what you should eat. 1 cup Post raisin bran, 3/4 cup skim milk, 1/2 cup banana slices, 25 jelly beans. 1 scrambled gee, 2 slices of wheat toast, 1 oz canadian bacon, 1 T of margarine (low fat), 1/2 grapefruit, 2 fat free Fig Newtons. 2 oz chicken breast 1/2 cup of rice and 1-2 cups of mixed veggies.
