Okay I know I may get blasted for this one, but it's been on my mind for a while....
It really annoys me when people brag about how long their nails are under acrylic tips. Acrylics tend to permanently bond to the top cuticle layer of the nail, and often (unless you got a GOOD expensive nail job) once you take that acrylic off, the nail's top layer and strength goes with it. I hate it when people brag about how long their nails are under them things, then a week after they remove them all their long nails are GONE.
I hate females that feed their insecurities by comparing their bodies to mine. Yes, your booty is a little bigger than mine, but your gut is bigger than both our booties. And what?
I'm not a mean person just had to get this off my chest. No, i'm not all that. No, i'm not perfect. But I dont have to compare what I have to yours to make me value what I've got!
*breathes*
yeah I hate that nail thing to, it is so annoying. I happen to be blessed with long strong nails and when people say that to me I'm like so what of course it will grow under there it can't break off under the weight of that acrylic !!DUH!!!

ugh. there are fifty percent more microbes living under acrylic than natural nails.
I really dislike when my co-worker talks about her children having "grease and water hair," and I am tired of her telling me that I need to stop wearing buns. She doesn't even have hair.
And i'm tired of women at my job not wearing maternity clothes (I work at a women's clinic).

I hate the black lip liner. It makes a woman look so hard, especially when its not blended, just a thick line around the lips.
Ashy, unkempt toes/feet and constantly wearing sandals.
The hair bothers me the most.. that overprocessed/fried/ultrashort and sometimes gelled down look.
I've actually seen this hairstyle too! http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/antlers.gif

Hi Everyone,
I dont usually post on this forum, but this thread caught my eye. I hate when larger women compare their bodies to mine. The comments just makes me feel uncomfortable. Examples:
"I used to look like that."
"You can eat anything you want, now, but wait until your 30's or you have some kids." (i guess life ends after those things)
"You never have to worry about body image." (as if we dont all have things we want to change)
I think when people assume that you have nothing to worry about they dont feel the need to be tactful or considerate. This gets on my nerves.

I also cant stand paintbrush ponytails (you know, ponytails so small that they are no bigger than the end of a paintbrush). With these you can see the edges of the hair pulled back so tight straining to make that ponytail happen. My take on it is, if you dont have enough hair, just be patient. It will grow.
Also, little children with severely damaged or unkept hair is another pet peeve of mine.

It bothers me when people make a fuss over how tiny/skinny I am. I'm really not that thin, for one, and besides, it's just weird when people I've never met in life comment on my weight.
Family isn't any better. I used to be "the sexy one" about 10-12 pounds ago, and everyone went on about how "built" I was and kept warning me about how I'd "better be careful" and the whole "Just wait until you hit 25" bit. Well, when I did hit 25, my weight went down a little for no apparent reason (I guess my metabolism evened out or something?) and, spurred on by that, I flirted a bit with an eating disorder. Since then, I haven't been able to get back to my previous normal weight. Not sure I want to, either, since I like myself smaller and guys don't look at my body as much.
Now, at every family gathering, the topic of discussion always comes around to how tiny Rochelle is. I guess the main thing is that I'm sick of other people claiming some sort of right to my body just because of how I look.

I know how you feel. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I've been skinny all my life while all the other women in my family were voluptuous and/or on the heavy side. My uncle used to tease me and say don't no body want a bone but a dog. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif But he loves big women. The only way a woman is going to catch his eye is if she is over 250. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It amazes me how people think that they can get away with comments like that. I know what size I am. Do you want me to inform you of how big your a$$ is?

Thank you! Thank you Thank you! I am not alone! Black lipliner looks absolutely ridiculous, as do those oversized acrylic nails. Ugh. It reminds me of the ghetto. Now, before I get pummeled, I am not saying that it has to remind you of the ghetto, mind you. I'm just talking about what it reminds me of.

For some reason, people have adopted a viewpoint that it is taboo to make fun of fat people, but that skinny people are fair game. In my mid-thirties, I've now settled into average size (a size 6), but for many years throughout highschool and university, I was a size 2 and then a 4. People thought nothing of mentioning it. I used to wonder what would happen to me if I had said everything I was thinking about people. Something like this:
PERSON A: Shawn, you're so skinny; look at those legs. You should wear your hair out. Is that your real hair?
SHAWN: Person A, you're so fat; can't you do something about all that hair and those pimples?
Of course, then I'd look like the mean one. The "real hair" question is one of the questions specifically listed in Amy Vanderbilt Etiquette as rude; right along with asking a woman's age and asking when she's going to find a man and get married. I think when people ask about something that's none of their business, they deserve a lie as an answer (I'm consistent with this belief--that's why I was never made at Bill Clinton). Anyway, enough venting for the moment . . .

I hate the following:
Supersized acrylic nails - HAYELL NAWL! If you have nails that long, you can't fix me anything to eat. Lord knows what kind of microscopic dingleberries you have hiding under all that gaudy $h!t.
Ponytail mullets - you know, the hairstyle where a woman has a long fake ponytail and no edges to save her life
Tongue piercings
Tattoos on necks - especially those of a sexually explicit nature
Beyonce' weave clones
Severely damaged teeth caused by tobacco use
People spending money on gold and platinum teeth when they should be getting braces
