I found a great sweet snack at whole foods today.....crystallized ginger. Mini ginger slices crystallized with cane sugar......it is oh so good. Kinda pricey though 8.99/pound.....I only got a couple of dollars worth but its enough for at least 3 or 4 snacks......

My mom stocks up on cystalized ginger. She even travels with a bag of it. She uses it when ever someone has a stomach ailment. I keep a small bag in my purse cause i get car sickness.

Crystallized ginger huh? I love ginger that you get with sushi. I could eat it as a snack. I will have to look into crystalized ginger. Where do you get it from? Is it 100% ginger or does it have other ingredients?

Oh. How disappointing. Excuse the ignorance but the ginger served with sushi, how is that prepared? Anyone know?
When I'm chopping ginger to make say biriani, it is stringy and seems too strong to be eaten directly. But sushi ginger is just delish. Any idea how they prepared it? Or is it some canned product?
