Anyone have info about these? Experiences? Good? Bad? Do they do anything to shape and tone lower body? My gym only has these. And, I'm getting sick of the treadmill and want to mix it up. Please share what you know. TIA. It looks like this....

I have never used it but wanted to look into getting or trying one out. I know MzHoney loves it. Maybe she will come in.

I loooooovvvve my recumbent bike!!!! Great aerobic workout and I can stomp a mudhole in anybody who steps to me wrong:grin: Mine monitors heart rate, speed, distance, mph and calories burned. When I do it I do about 10 miles a day on it. I prefer it for the back support but a regular stationary bike would probably work your legs out better/toning because of the position.I think I paid $125 for it at Walmart. Sooo worth the money.

oh, i've been calling that an exercise bike! :lachen:

they have those at my gym, i love them. like it was mentioned above, it's a very good aerobic workout, and it helps to tone the legs really well.

Thanks ladies! That sounds great. I'm going to work out on one today at the gym. I wonder how many miles I'll be able to do.

Same here. I like these a lot. I use them at my local gym.

well, I enjoyed the recumbent today for the first time. I could feel all sorts of leg muscles being worked. I love that. I did 30 minutes, 7 miles, 200 calories, and an extreme interval between a very high resistance and a very low (it was a pre-programmed course).

I love it. I may look into buying one. I want to do this at least 4 times per week. I added 25 mins on the treadmill at 3.7mph with an 11% incline. That only got me 1.25 more miles and 200 more calories...but combined, I think it was a decent workout.

Love the recumbent! :luv2:
